We have to send the Republican party an unambiguous message that even the most delusional wingnut can't ignore: get your meddling tentacles out of our lives and off of our bodies! Stay away from our books with your flamethrowers, and stay away from our government with your religious dogma. Our identities are not for you to judge or deny; we are not going to be your meek and compliant subjects, and we do not want your narcissistic sadist for a king.

Blue all the way down the ballot in the morning, folks- from POTUS to the local school board. Let's make it happen.

Well put.

I made a version of the tracker spreadsheet with color coding, to help me keep track of which candidates we're rooting for: Green = pro-trans (or at least better than the alternative), Red = anti-trans, Yellow = elections w/ multiple candidates (school board, state legislature, etc)

Having a partner from Boston (who now lives in MoCo btw) I didn’t need the definition, but appreciate it on behalf of those who might think wicked was always derogatory. 🙂

Yeah, growing up (in my younger adult life, I was 19 when my family got dial-up) on Usenet, I have a keen sense of speaking to the broad audience. 😉

You might want to add Josh Hawley (MO-Sen) to your list! Hawley said the MO reproductive freedom amendment would make 'sex-changes' legal for children, and every time I go to the gym I see this anti-trans Josh Hawley ad (starring Riley Gaines of course): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-OCc25Q8qA

I only have races that are competitive, and Hawley doesn't make the cut, he's likely going to win. That said, if he loses, it's going to be an incredible night across the board for LGBTQ+-implicated races.

That makes sense!

Hawley is a puppet of the devil, truly a white nationalist who knows just enough to be dangerous, only a senator because he's elected by people even more clueless, than himself.

Nation’s First Transgender Facility Vote Center Opens in LA

CONOTEC Leadership, LA County Registrar Dean Logan, and West Hollywood Mayor celebrated

LOS ANGELES (October 29, 2024) – Today, Los Angeles area Transgender Leadership, LA County Registrar Dean Logan, and West Hollywood Mayor John Erickson joined with other local political leaders to attend the grand opening of the first-ever general election Vote Center in America located in a Transgender establishment – the Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center (CONOTEC).

Queen Victoria Ortega, President of FLUX International, welcomed those gathered by saying, “Here at the Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center we are honored to be the first presidential election Vote Center in America. Our community knows how important it is to have a safe and affirming place to vote and we are thrilled to host this Vote Center for our Community - so excited that we are throwing a ‘Block Party’ on election night for everyone to come by and celebrate our fundamental right to vote!”

Queen Chela Demuir, Executive Director of the Unique Woman’s Coalition, added, “We applaud LA County for working with us to make this Vote Center a reality! The County Registrar’s commitment to having Vote Centers in diverse communities like ours, across the County is commendable. We are excited to have this Vote Center in our facility and we have invited members of our Community from all over the County to come here and vote and party with us on election day.”

A strong show of unity was displayed as virtually the entire leadership of the LA area Transgender Community was present to applaud this historic event. Bamby Salcedo - Founder & CEO, TransLatin@ Coalition, expressed her support saying, “My sisters at CONOTEC have done a great service to our Community by securing this Vote Center. We all look forward to casting our vote in Our Community and we appreciate all of the support as we work towards equality for all.”

Kelly Robinson, President of the Human Rights Campaign, praised the efforts of CONOTEC saying, “With our vote, each of us has the chance to write the next chapter of this nation’s story. And the nation’s story is incomplete without each one of us. When we show up, equality wins. And we could not be more grateful to the Connie Norman Center for lifting trans voices, empowering LGBTQ+ voters, and encouraging the entire community to show up and demonstrate our power at the ballot box.”

L.A. County Registrar Dean Logan took part in cutting the ceremonial ribbon and said, “The County and everyone in my office know that we need to make voting as accessible and welcoming as possible in every corner of the County. The CONOTEC leadership has done a great job preparing this Vote Center and we thank them for opening their space to their Community and all of the L.A. County residents who chose to vote here.”

The Vote Center at CONOTEC will be open for early voting November 2-4 from 10 AM - 7 PM and on election day, November 5th, from 7 AM - 8 PM. Any registered voter of Los Angeles County can vote at CONOTEC regardless of where they live in Los Angeles County.

I live in Montgomery County, Maryland, but my only knowledge of the BoE races was the endorsements from the local teachers' union (MCEA), which produces an "Apple Ballot" with their choices, I've followed it my entire voting life (I've lived here since I was a small child). I'd be interested to hear about a candidate stupid enough to waste their time, with an anti-trans agenda, here, and lose.
