We know it has nothing to do with being "misguided". These people in these institutions are malicious. They are guided by religion and hatred. Trans people are simply "icky" to these shysters. They don't care about trans kids injuring or unaliving themselves. Honestly, they would prefer that ALL trans people unalive ourselves so they don't have to see us or hear us.

The "gender critical" ideology can not make any factual case for itself. None.
All of them think the gender of a person is created after birth by upbringing. There is no evidence for this idea, but only for the opposite. The few attempts to raise a child "without gender" have all failed -- who can point out any success?
Reimer exposed the fraud of John Money, and the last tent pole holding up the idea that gender is taught fell. That was near 30 years ago. What the gendered behaviors and behavioral expectations are a retaught and learnable -- they are cultural.
That those will exist is biological, as is the impulse to seek out those around you as you grow up whom you perceive to also be of your flavor of gender, so you can emulate their gendered behaviors and successfully signal your own gender -- and for most yes with the shape of their body too.
The belief by the gender critical that transgender people are really delusionally mentally ill, or demonically possessed, or obsessed with some sexual fetish -- there is no evidence for any of this.
Point it out, make them defend their delusions and obsessions in open court.
And then the 'gendercrits' turn around and try to claim John Money was on the 'gender ideology' side.
To be fair, most of the GCs I've encountered don't think gender is *taught*, they think it *doesn't exist at all* as a separate thing from sex (as assigned at birth). AFAICT, they conflate our position - that gender and sex are related but not the same - with the position that children are blank slates who must be taught gender.
On the third hand, though, there's all their pearl-clutching about kids 'being transed' by exposure to 'gender ideology', which sure sounds a lot like thinking children are not only blank slates, but are so easily written-on (yet so hard to erase, apparently) that the mere sight of a drag queen will damage them permanently.
I'm very glad I don't have to live in their heads; trying to reconcile all this sounds exhausting.

Again this goes to show that reality and fact based scientific studies are not used by opponents of trans care, but continue to use false information, non factual studies and propaganda to push their false narrative. It is unfortunate that politicians don’t take the time to find out the real facts before they put policies up for votes or pass them. I hope what’s Going on in New Zealand is defeated soundly.
I think it’s also worth noting that they use the indigenous language to argue against this government overreach. I have seen they have a strong indigenous rights movement.
Thank you for sharing news of medical professionals taking action on behalf of their patients, s. baum. Meanwhile, innocent children are suffering, and some of them will die without access to appropriate and necessary medical treatment. What pointless cruelty.

I live in New Zealand and really happy that the medical community has come out with a strong response against political interference in health care.

There was no political / media activity immediately prior to this announcement on this day. It can be justifiably interpreted as an act of cruelty intend to provoke.
From what I can see the trans community here, and those that support the community have risen above this petty antagonism and responded with dignity and solidarity
Wishing the legal challenge success. Hope fully this will teen out to be a ‘ one term Government’
