Oh yeah allowing photos, in regards to bathrooms... so... do they expect people to just pull out phones and take pictures of people in bathrooms? Because I feel like there's maybe a whole bunch of privacy issues with that.

Not to mention it’s creepy AF!

I'm going to report Rep. Kera Birkeland, who sponsored the bill, because her presence in any bathroom causes me affront and alarm and discomfort.

There's no file size limit on the form. It would be a shame if someone were to create a 10,000 x 10,000 pixel image in photoshop, paste in the trans flag, and export it as a PDF with image compression turned off, then repeatedly submit the form with the resulting 300 megabyte attachment, thus taking up a ton of their server space. I sure hope no one does that.

Try the wikimedia commons image of Botticelli’s “The birth of Venus”. It’s extra deep since we’re talking about trans issues here!

That would be such a shame!

When will conservatives learn, the internet will always troll bs like this 😂

Insert "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?" meme here.

Time to start reporting people with Trump shirts and MAGA hats LMAO

The snitch form asks for photographic evidence: "Click to choose a file(s) or Drag file(s)". So I sent them a pic of Kitara with the filename "You asked for a Drag file.jpg". Hope they appreciate my sense of humor lol!

I filed a complaint about how somebody - not me - summoned a vengeance demon of indeterminate gender and it really scared me, Harry Dresden, a magical detective who regularly summons demons. I included a photo (thank you AI).

People who are so over the top paranoid about this shit must be the REAL perverts! Why else would you think so much about it?!

ANOTHER snitch line??? These people are so sad.

Just where do they think transgender have been going to the bathroom for decades? Wendy's fast food chain opened a new one here in Springfield, Oregon. It felt good seeing the new building did not have gender assigned bathrooms. I can't imagine the fear of simply going to the bathroom my heart goes out to those that have to experience that. I have noticed that more and more "family" bathrooms with a lock on the door are being seen in airports and shopping malls.

I finally found a use for AI! As disgusting as it was, a picture of DeSantis and Mango Mussolini kissing in a public bathroom was hilarious!

Now excuse me while I bleach my eyeballs

You are so much more devious than I am. My hat is off to you!

This law causes affront and alarm

I feel like this is just going to hurt them.. the people who sponsored the bill and support it. This can’t be good for business.

Complaint Submitted!. I complained about this ridiculous waste of money and time targeting transgender community.

After I hit submit:

"Thank you for taking the time to communicate your concerns to the Office of the State Auditor. If you provided an email, then confirmation of your submission has been sent. Your complaint will be evaluated in the near future by our Special Projects Division. If accepted, we will add the complaint to our statewide list of projects that is prioritized based on several factors, including but not limited to, available staffing resources. If you provided your contact information, we may contact you as necessary to obtain more information and clarification about your concerns. Please understand that this process will take time."

Sincerely,

THE OFFICE OF THE STATE AUDITOR

I note that the form above this snitch line is to be used for reporting “Improper Government Activity.” It would be a shame if multiple people reported the Government of Utah to itself for attempting to enforce Utah code 36G Chspter 31 as “Improper Government Activity.”

Sandra's avatar

This is cruel and also utterly ridiculous. The “we can always tell” attitude is a fool’s game. Attempts to enforce bathroom laws may ensnare some trans people but they can (and have) also ensnared cis people who don’t have stereotypical gender presentations. Utah is a worst state on Erin’s map apparently for a good reason.

Leah Abram's avatar

I thought the worst state was Florida…

Sandra's avatar

FL is indeed the worst state on Erin’s map. What I meant was that Utah was in the “one of the worst states” category one tier below that.
