Oh yay the racism transphobia overlap and how it isn't actually about being trans or cis in reality, it's just about other people being able to define who and what you are so they can attack you for it.

It will likely never stop. Racism and Transphobia. If we could just eradicate all hate then none of this bullshit would continue to happen.

I wonder if some of the transgender accusations is because they can't accept that people as strong as Serena Williams or as accomplished as Michelle Obama can be female - if they are good, they must have been born male? I'm probably overthinking it - it's misogyny combined with transbigotry.

Strong women are anti christian, and anti patriarchy. Despite there being mythic characters like Ruth , who by all accounts was as strong as any man. She was a prime example of strong female loyalty, courage, and resilience. And yet Christians ignore her , and the stories about her.

Idiots, all of them.

We covered this in our daily today.

That "Transvestigation" bullshit that has ramped up in social spaces, is fucking nuts.

https://thistleandmoss.com/p/what-survives-the-morning-concrete-confetti-and-a-cage-match-for-a-fuckwazzle-to-feel-good-on-his-bi

They built a cage on the South Lawn of the people's house and called it fuckin freedom. Seven fights, sixty million dollars, an octagon where the rose garden's quiet used to be — all of it timed to a senile pants-pooping walking bruised-fuckwad's eightieth birthday and sold as the nation's two hundred fiftieth. The grass where children once rolled Easter eggs took a boot heel and a blood spray, live on a streaming service nobody asked for.

It wasn't the first time Hokit's pulled this filth, and it won't be the last, because cruelty is the whole business model now. The lie that a Black woman is secretly a man is misogynoir — the machinery that paints Black women as too masculine, too much, so the abuse reads as justified after the fact. Hokit's done it to Brittney Griner too. Sean Strickland posts AI videos of himself beating trans women. The octagon has become a pulpit for every man who confused his fists with a personality. Trans activist Alejandra Caraballo named it flat: gutter-level misogyny and racism, shouted on the lawn of the house that's supposed to be all of ours.

What a great day for America. Nothing screams greatness like two men pummeling each other bloody and good old transphobic humor in front of 4,000 blood thirsty ghouls. Gosh, Nero must be so proud. Just imagine how jealous Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and the rest must be at what has happened to their glorious experiment. The civilized world weeps for us.

I'm flying from SF to Washington DC in a month and this bizarre "Michelle Obama is a ..." event makes me wonder if I should take special precautions in the area in and around D.C. Any advice from trans residents there would be much appreciated.

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

My sister lives in Rockville, and by her assertion, she actively avoids DC at any and all costs (despite living so close to it). That said for the most part being Trans and walking about DC is not so MUCH a problem.....(I worry more about the airports -- Dulles and Ronald Reagan).

Jenniferkeaydavidson@gmail.com's avatar

Oh golly, I'm flying into Reagan ... Any tips on self-presentation? I was planning to be bold about it -- to "wave the SF flag," so to speak -- and to wear assertive red lipstick (what I call my "f-Trump lipstick")! But I don't want to be beaten up, either.

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

I mean you are gonna get some shit. Just accept that out right. Last time I was up there , I was wearing my "I Love my Trans Partner" and I got laughed at fairly repeatedly, and misgendered pretty hard by the people in the airport. I also didnt dare go into any of the women's restrooms, instead favoring the family restrooms where possible. I am not, nor have passing privy, so for me I have to be careful.

Jenniferkeaydavidson@gmail.com's avatar

Thanks so much Wendy. I'm 73, so I shall proceed with caution.

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

I mean, seriously, I am 53, trans, and not passable, and I don't tend to risk things either.

Specially where travel is concerned, and in such capacity.

Avoid any TSA or ICEstapo checkpoints and military patrols, obvi, if possible. Airports and federal buildings are dangerous. Try not to show ID if you can help it, you never know when a MAGAtrooper is going to red flag an historical gender marker change or "no match" re SSN/passport/ID. Never, ever, ever, ever trust police. Be on the look out for paramilitaries like the Proud Boys.

DC isn't safe for anyone really.

There's a reason why foreign nations pay consular staff higher hazard pay for a DC posting than for a UN gig in NYC.

I’m being as nice as I can be about this shameful event:

Last night at Trump’s UFC extravaganza and ego display, we saw once again how blurred the line has become between politics, entertainment, and personal branding.

In the middle of one of the heavyweight fights, the winner lavished praise on Trump, placed a medal around his neck, and then proceeded to make a disgusting racist, bigoted remark about Michelle Obama while nobody pushed back or challenged it in the moment.

As I said earlier: this event, supposedly paid for by outside money and not taxpayers, raises serious questions. I’m sure the usual crowd still ended up paying through the back door while Trump once again made millions through merchandise sales and branding tied to the spectacle.

Once again, Trump’s ego was on full display while he and his family raked in money and embarrassed our country on a public stage.

margo b's avatar

This is absolutely freaking disgusting, but what is worse is that there is not a line of republicans especially republican women lining up to condemn this wildly racist and misogynistic remark

Anne's avatar

Every single thing about trump, and his family, is without the intelligence and class shown by Presidents Obama and Biden and their families.

Erin, Thank you for covering this. I don't know how you do it without scratching your eyes out. I for sure don't have the stamina you have. Peace to you and yours ✌️

(And thank you again)

Demonstration of pathetic insecurity. Wake up call for bystanders viewing transphobic shit. If that’s the greatest thing this person can offer, it’s pretty weak. Is she “a man” because his fragile misogynist self can’t otherwise make sense of her awesomeness.., so awesome that she must be a man? Stupidity. I laugh at him.

Jocelyn's avatar

The pathetic insecurity of all these "tough guys" is just so laughable. They deserve nothing but ridicule.

Talia Perkins's avatar

There could be few more ridiculous lies, but give it a week and the Orange God will beat it anew.

Thank you Erin.

If Michelle Obama were trans we would would welcome her with open arms. But she is not. Getting so tired of this trope.

And honestly it would just make her cooler.

Insecure beta b**** boys who feel the need to project hyper-masculinity because they are scared and fragile and the only thing that makes them feel like "big strong men" is obnoxiously ridiculing vulnerable people. "Real men" don't feel the need to "wave their sticks" around. They walk quietly, live honorably, protect the vulnerable, and show courage by punching up. These people do none of those things, because they are fundamentally cowards with a rigid world-view. When that world-view is challenged, it causes their creatine-fueled brains to collapse into a childish fit of rage.
