I don’t believe it ultimately matters what the characteristics are that ‘other’ that targeted kid as different —as long as the rest of the kids might see that kid as ‘the other’ enough to be silent. And tragically, shamefully, down through human history certain groups have been seen as ‘other’ and it becomes…tradition (e.g., Jewish people, the Rom, low caste persons etc.). Same behavior as with pigeons that peck to death the one pigeon that has a blue eye?

It's irrelevant because he will lose his election badly, polling in last place in a 4 way race. But... he sure is angling for some future political position in the Trump administration. It's crucial that we prosecute him for his corruption (trying to fire a fire alarm inspector at the behest of a foreign government, in exchange for money) before he is out of reach.
Note the OCR's directive, while in the heading specifies that the Student guidelines are to be amended, does not actually use the word "student" in the language it wants the NYPS to use in its letter to students, staff, and parents informing them of the proposed change. The purposeful lack of that word in the letter would imply that transgender parents, staff, and faculty would not be allowed to use restrooms aligning with their gender identity either. This echoes intentionally vague and all-encompassing language used in school bathroom bans across the country that actually impact and target non-students as well.
I was just watching Starship Troopers and a plan came to me. Perhaps we can embrace Fascism. Why you ask? All Genders used the same facilities so maybe we need fascism to make this happen.

Apart from taking advantage of another opportunity to bash the trans community, what is the real point of this?? One can count on one hand the number of threats that have actually been posed by trans kids (or adults, for THAT matter) in a restroom. Far more often (exponentially so), it's the trans kid (or adult) who is victimized in that restroom. Why? Precisely BECAUSE we are not the type to want to intimidate or harass anyone. We merely want to use the restroom for its intended purpose. But, because the average person has never interacted with one of us, it's easy to demonize us as the great unknown threat. I will not be even slightly surprised if Mayor Adams takes the President up on this. The two major parties have decided that we are the enemy and that bashing us is their road to power.
