Melissa, I could not agree with you more! This nomination was completely predictable. The fact that she's an outspoken critic will not even be brought up in her confirmation hearing. Those who claimed to be our allies are now afraid of showing any sort of support, because the bigotry machine will chew them up. Our survival is rapidly becoming a matter of individual self-defense. The three branches of our federal government have now all turned their backs on us and have categorized us as modern day "lepers".
Hopefully there will be enough Democrats on the Senate who will hold her feet to the fire regarding trans rights. If you know your Senator, now would be time to call them.
