The people engineering, funding, and carrying out the propaganda campaign and enacting the laws and policies against transgender people must face 42 U.S.C. § 1983, 18 U.S.C. § 241, & 18 U.S.C. § 242 prosecution.
I'm sure I seem a bit like a broken record, but that has to happen or they will try again as soon as they or their like again have power.
The Bible Thumpers, the Latter Day Pharisees, the Social Conservatives . . . they must be made as broken as they want us to be.
We should have hung the top 20 or 30 Confederates, even those not under arms, as were even the likes of Julius Streicher and Alfred Rosenberg, and obviously the top leadership tried at Nuremberg . . . the worst of Christian Nationalism's and the Endarkenment's leading lights must be tried, and some should hang.

There can not be any "deal" where they all skate, or in 10 or 20 years, or in 2 or 3 generations, we'll have to do this all again. Dixie and her every last remnant delusion of rectitude must be extirpated from the mind of the body politic.
And even for so little as the few lies they've told about how they have helped that bunch above, and their varied frauds, the ICC dock is where the likes of Hilary Cass, Riittakerttu Kaltiala, Zucker, and Bailey should land.
They are not literally Nazis, but social conservatives. Broadly they have the ethno-nationalism, but Nazism had little to no psuedo-Christianty to it (they far more had paganism under- and over-tones) and there is near no socialism of any sort to this bunch . . . and as long as you were a good German worker, Hitler's regime had a lot of the same sort of "worker's paradise" bennies as Stalin's Russia did.
What they call Christianity has nothing to do with the real God or Christ, it's Satanic, they've found allies in these disguised Nazis who give lip service to religion to solidify their unholy alliance. Attacking women, LGBTQ people, Muslims, etc. is not remotely Christian if it means following Jesus, if they want to be like Nazis I call them Nazis.
It's not pseudo-Christianity, it's non-Christianity. Listening to questionable, isolated passages in the Bible but ignoring Jesus is never going to be Christianity, no matter how many redneck preachers say it is.
Waiting for the shit storm that would occur if there was traction to include banning non medically necessary circumcision onto these gender affirming ban rules
It's only a matter of timing. Republicans are planning on banning all transgender healthcare for everyone as the voter engagemrnt driver for the '26 midterm. GAC in the United States will not survive New Year's Day 1/1/27.
All of us who transitioned later in life know how much we suffered as children, particularly as adolescents. Over the past decade, we have seen small strides forward in trans care for minors. Now they are threatening to reverse all that, even though the general public overwhelmingly don't approve.
We will win out in the end, because our fight is about human rights for all. But in the meantime, my heart goes out to all the children who will suffer.
It is only a matter of time before they try to do this for adult transgender care as well. They are just starting with minors because it’s an easier target for them.
All of this is horrible but was eminently predictable exactly a year ago with the election results.
The only hope at this point is for the protective blue states to form a wall against these efforts and try to collectively protect this care as much as possible. Whether the political will in these states exists for that, who knows.
To watch sooooo many p3dos/p3do adjacent politicians talk about protecting children and the unborn would be almost laughable if it weren't so sickening and evil!
Do we remember the thalidomide babies that were born with shortened limbs during the 50s and 60s in the last century. Moms took medicine to lessen morning sickness. What a huge mistake the health system made to prescribe that drug.
To me, it seems we are making the opposite mistake by keep drugs away from children who are transgender. I don't wish my life on anyone. If I could have taken puberty blockers and hormone replacement at an appropriate age my life would be very different today. I'm 67 and living my best life but I also live in fear because I doubt my ability to pass in all situations. No one should be afraid to use a restroom.
Dee, many of us share tragedies I'm our past and stories like yours. We KNOW affirming care works and is the best practice in most cases. But that's why the GOPMAGA politicians aren't listening to us. They don't want truth and fact. They want us GONE.
"The Department of Education (Department) is committed
to ensuring that taxpayer dollars are not used to support
organizations engaged in unlawful activities."
I spit my coffee out when I read this and then exclaimed, "ARREST THE POTUS!!!" It certainly seems like he's engaging in a lot of illegal activity.
The other thing I want to say is that I see trans members of my community get up every single day and go out into the world to live their lives, they go to work, take care of their family, go grocery shopping, pay their bills; THEY RESIST! I'm finding it appalling that institutions won't do the same!
When any governing body targets peaceful people and removes or ignores constitutional protections for their rights, this is not a "crack down" on an illegal activity, but an act of persecution against peaceful, legally compliant citizens simply living their lives.
Human rights are not privileges granted by any constitution, monarch, church, or tyrant, but are inborn and deserve equal protection regardless of how a person self identifies, or is categorized by others. Thus, these inborn human rights are constitutionally protected and guaranteed by the government formed in part to secure such rights.
The fundamental truth is that all people are unique—differences in traits, appearance, biology, heritage or self-identity (whether "transgender," male, female, intersex, or any other label) are simply aspects of human diversity. To use these differences to justify taking away legal protections is to replace the promise of equal justice with an attack on liberty itself.
The government is not cracking down on people labeled as transgender; it is systematically disregarding, thus destroying, United States constitutional protections.
Please don't forget the systematic review done by the University of Utah. It is the largest systematic review performed to date, including 250+ studies, over 1000 pages, looking at over 28,000 patient outcomes. What is fascinating about it is that it included the Cass Review, and even with that inclusion, it still found gender-affirming care to be beneficial. It also matters because it was commissioned by the Utah State legislature which is comprised of a conservative supermajority, and it was a bipartisan study.
Here is a link to legislation that mandated the "Department of Health and Human Services to conduct a systematic review of the medical evidence regarding hormonal transgender treatments and provide recommendations to the Legislature."https://le.utah.gov/~2023/bills/static/SB0016.html
But the University of Utah study matters for additional reasons. Pamela Paul linked to the University of Utah in a NYT article "Why is the U.S Still Pretending We Know Gender-Affirming Care Works?" when she spoke of fertility concerns. And, Hannah Barnes also cited a University of Utah study in "Time to Think" on page six, when speaking of infertility. If the University of Utah's work is reliable enough for Pamela Paul and Hannah Barnes to cite, it's newest findings should not suddenly be questionable by conservative legislators.
I'm cis, but have a trans GF, so they'd claim that's my motive, well it isn't, my motive is far beyond that issue frankly, I've lost count of how much garbage they're doing to intentionally be cruel. It's as important (at least) as any other issue, but we're in a civil war, ICE and other agencies are battling good people, and we're not going to put up with it.
I’m so ashamed of this country in so many respects. These social conservatives, bible yelling ignorant people who say only their beliefs are correct and anyone else can go to hell are a bunch if Hippocrates who speak out of both side of their mouths. Love thy neighbor a favorite of theirs is what they preach, but in reality they sure don’t mean it.
It's very inconvenient for them that the real God is on *our* side, so they've made Satan God and Trump Jesus. It's insane, they fought WWII for nothing apparently, because now they're Nazis.
"One major study reported a 73 percent drop in suicidality among trans youth who began treatment"
And with that and like earlier work in mind, how on Earth did Strangio so badly bobble the SCOTUS question about whether or not GAC lowered suicide rates ?! WTAF, Strangio?
I honestly think Strangio could have produced the most logically-ironclad and elegant legal argument ever created, and he still would have lost Skrmetti. The justices made up their minds well before the case entered their courtroom.
The real question now is, given the current court, is there any utility at all in advancing trans rights through the courts, knowing that Alito, Thomas, et. al. will bat down any protections created on our behalf? And once the justice system is no longer a place for recourse, but rather a monster from which to seek refuge, what then is left for us?
"I honestly think Strangio could have produced the most logically-ironclad and elegant legal argument ever created, and he still would have lost Skrmetti."
Okay, but why/how did he bobble that question so completely ?! I really don't see how he even possibly did that. Was it simply a fu--up? An attempted strategy I can't see?
"what then is left for us?"
All 4 "boxes" yet remain. Soap, ballot, jury, and cartridge.
I'm not defending Strangio. Perhaps we did deserve better representation. I just don't think it would have made a difference in the Roberts court of 2025.
I'm not so sure all 4 boxes remain at this point. Soap is hard to achieve when major media platforms are owned and controlled by the president's allies, or otherwise fear the White House. Ballot would be nice - I can't give up on that so long as free and fair elections are possible, which, given GOP meddling, is an open question at this point. Jury, well, maybe in the lower courts. Cartridge?? We're going to need a lot more people.
"Cartridge?? We're going to need a lot more people."
One lone carpenter almost managed quite a lot of good on November 8, 1939 -- and -- should it come to it, we can be far more prepared than was the Warsaw Ghetto.
They obviously want trans people killing themselves. What do they say about it? It's one of these pertinent issues ignored by that side. Only to focus on going backward. That's modern-day Nazism.
The attacks go on and on and on - where are our LGBTQIA allies? Where are the Democrats? Time to speak up - thank you if you already are. If not, please do so now. The situation is horrific.
Like, what happened to "Life, Liberty and Pursuit of HAPPINESS?" That means different things to different people individually, surely, but it is (supposed to be) a guarantee for all people!!!!
The American conservative idea of freedom is the most narrow freedom imaginable. It is the freedom to sign a contract; the freedom to own a gun; the freedom to steal from the commons; in short, there is no right more central to the conservative idea of freedom than the right to die in a gutter.
By contrast, I believe trans existence is the ultimate manifestation of the radical individual freedom championed by libertarians, with roots in the American revolution. I like to think that even Jefferson would at least be intrigued by the idea that, at some point in the future of his republic, a person not born as such could transform into a woman and enjoy life as a woman, freely, because that is the essence of individual freedom.
The conservatives are the same people who will insist that mere taxation represents an undue burden on individual freedom. They argued against Obamacare for years by claiming that government-funded healthcare would necessarily constitute an invasion of government interference into the most intimate and private parts of our lives; now they are guilty of the same.
I really believe that the future of trans existence lies in getting people to realize that a world in which trans people can receive gender-affirming care without fear of persecution is a freer and happier world for everyone - that your right to exist and my right to exist also guarantees their right to exist.

You and I will have to agree to disagree, axiomatically. Liberty is the greatest public good, and what was best in the years 1775~1789, have yet to be bettered in the field once termed "political economy" -- but in the broader application of what was then best.
In many respects I think Jefferson was the worst of the Founders.
He certainly wasn't innocent of abuses, and was an ideologue. I owe no loyalty to this society, it's treated me well in some respects, but only at great cost to my family and I've also had to take shit from ignorant people. I mostly agree, I think it's important to remember that trans people aren't choosing anything, though, they want affirmation of how they were created. In many cases, that includes GAC, that much is a choice, but they are only attempting to make the best of how they are innately.

I hate this administration so much
And we aren't putting up with it for another three years. We will use force. When there are no legal remedies, the bullet is the answer.
the bullet cannot come from a trans person because it'll add more fuel to the fire!
