Over 20 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have died in Florida after the legislature adjourned Sine Die on Friday, leaving some wondering if energy is waning over anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ legislation.
A few short years to ruin a state... how many decades to put everything right again?
I wonder if Florida has seen a significant downturn in tourism because of this bullshit culture war, and that might have more to do with why Republicans down there let their latest round of mustache-twirling villainy die on the vine. I somehow doubt they stopped because they spontaneously grew a sense of compassion... it makes more sense if Ronny-boy's little crusade is hurting the bottom line.
Hell yeah! Florida's still not totally safe of course, but this is a huge victory nonetheless! I am so happy to have some good news like this, I really needed it!

Thank you Erin for the great reporting! Finally, some good news out of what has been so far the worst, or one of the worst, states for anti-trans legislation. The virulence of the legislation and bills that remain is awful, however. Among the worst is the drivers license moves by the DHSMV. Are there any efforts ongoing to try to overturn or counter that?
I’ve said it before. These reactionaries have to be tabbed as perverts for being so obsessed with other people’s gender identities and sexual orientations. Why are they so obsessed? What is it to them unless they’re home jacking off? They should be asked to explain their obsession on every occasion they present themselves. Look at how Raichik imploded after being asked the simple question of basically what’s it to you? She was babbling about “truth” like a mental patient.
