Getting called "cancer" by your government: AKA an average Wednesday for trans people in America.

We still don’t know the shooter’s motives in the Kirk assassination. It is carrying water for the Trump admin and Utah police to take the evidence found at the scene at face value.

I mean we kinda do. He was most likely a groyper. The rights silence over the last few weeks basically confirms it.

1. We don’t know if the guy they caught did it.

2. We don’t know if any of the evidence presented from the scene is real.

3. We don’t know if any of the investigation into the alleged shooter is accurate.

4. Nothing that has come out about the alleged shooter is concrete as to his motives.

We don’t even know if they have the right guy, and I would not put it past the feds to construct a case against someone quickly to look good and/or save face. Heck, look at Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s case for an oblivious example.

By repeating their talking points uncritically we’re doing their jobs for them. Even if we could trust them we should still hold them accountable for proving their claims. It is infinitely more true for this administration and its collection of cronies.

I’m rolling over this. Imagining Ken Paxton and his cronies dressed in halter tops, Daisy Dukes, and pink heeled cowgirl boots announcing their new show, “The Best Little Drag Show in Texas”.

In all seriousness, who announces undercover work?

I love this.

The danger to trans folks can't be overstated, and also, ridicule and scorn are the proper response to this cabal of the damned. Just days ago, Erin shared a story showing how low trans issues are on people's list of priorities.

Again, these fools in power can do real harm. But they should be called out as just that: fools.

I haves several dresses and skirts I don't wear much anymore. I suppose if someone sheepishly volunteers to go undercover, we should do our best to honor who they are and help them along their journey.

I think it's just a little hilarious that they are ANNOUNCING undercover investigations. SO SNEAKY! "Hello, I am a transgender. May I kill Americans with you?"

I'm sorry if this seems alarmist, but trans people living in the US are so absolutely, unavoidably, and despairingly fucked. Allegations mentioned in the article have no basis in reality, but it simply doesnt matter. There are real forces lining up, champing at the bit to do us real harm for the foreseeable future. Those forces remain largely unchecked and are growing bolder and more powerful.

KKKen is the single biggest reason I'm escaping this fascist hellhole of a state. This is, in their mind, a holy war waged by Christian Nationalism. KKKen is part of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, which of course had an AI Charlie Kirk "speaking from beyond the grave." It is a level of true insanity.

Meanwhile the data proves that it's RIGHT WING violence that is FAR more dangerous in this country than anything else these people proclaim. But just like the Nazis they are, they identify their political opposition and sexual minorities as the "real" threat to the nation.

If they call me cancer, no one in the media bats an eye at that genocidal language. Dark f’n times to be dehumanized and targeted by the state.

I can’t tell whether to be mad or amused at the thought of a cis male Texas law enforcement agent going undercover as a trans woman. And I mean long term as a trans woman. Also, how many eggs will be cracked by the experience?

Analogy helps make the point. Imagine declaring that sickle cell anemia, diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, or menopause contribute to terrorism. It would be the same thing.

It’s time we start labeling these attacks of lawfare what they are: fraud, waste, and abuse by delusional, poorly informed, demented minds sick with feverish ambition to impose a self-designed, counterfactual facsimile of “natural order” upon God Himself.

I can't wait to see who Paxton sends to "infiltrate" the trans community and how that might work. I can see Paxton in a meeting announcing, "All right, men, who's willing to go all the way for god, king, and country, and undergo a vaginoplasty?" Perhaps JD Vance would be willing. After all, he's so good at putting on black eye liner under his baby blues.

Just another bigot from trumps troops. Paxton will do anything to endear himself to trump. I feel very sorry for the few Texans who have morals and oppose this administration’s tactics. Unfortunately Texans keep electing these racists with no redeeming qualities. If Texans ever get smart they will vote these people out out

Ugh. Poor Texas Dems. There are so many! Just under half of Texas voters (47%) are Democrats, many of them people of color. The big metro areas are solidly blue (Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and my former hometown of Houston). Sadly, the Repukes have gerrymandered the state to such an alarming degree that corrupt assholes like Abbott, Paxton and Cruz always win. It’s gonna get much worse when 5 Democratic House representatives lose their seats next year due to racist redistricting. We Californians must vote YES ON 50 on Nov. 4th to offset the loss of those 5 Dem seats.

His agents will have a really hard time blending in. I've been slowly educating myself for a few years because I have some transgender people in my life now. I STILL get confused by terminology. I can just see paxton's agents trying to blend in and being completely found out because they can't use words right.
