Something I’ve learned is that if you have to hide what you’re doing, it’s clear you know it’s wrong. If it was the “right” thing to do there would be Zero reason to hide it. So the KY folks… that is what you did, over a lunch break, mics off, and no time for opponents… shame on you

Exactly. They knew they were doing wrong.

I speak for myself when I say I hope they all die a horribly painful and gruesome death. May they rot in hell for eternity.

Erin, thanks for reporting on this horrendous behavior of the GOP. It must be hard to witness and write about. One would like to think laws wouldn't be able to be passed without following the process and requiring full disclosure and debate. I just can't fathom how all of these people can be so cruel and hateful. Can it all be for political points and funding from extremist groups with deep pockets? Clearly no one is listening to experts, they are willfully ignorant and don't care about these kids and families within their own communities. I'm so sorry for the parents and kids that are stuck in this state without a viable way to leave their homes. Politicians and states should never be telling health care experts how to practicing medicine.

They’re pursuing a particular authoritarian ideology. It really matters little to them who is hurt. They certainly have no illusions about what they’re doing in pursuit of their goal.

But they care about their re-elections

Sneaky, underhanded, backdoor alleyway tactics. Cowardly hypocrites.

Parents know best, until they DON'T.

Doctors know best, until they DON'T.

The makers of this bill have rotten hearts.

They can’t override until the governor vetos the bill and he can take some time that gives Dems and supporters time to organize first and foremost the sneaky way they pushed this bill through must get national media attention next go after the campaign of sponsor sen wise with digital ads make sure they are very visible to u of Kentucky which he is associated with , I would start with TikTok , really the DOJ should start looking at these coordinated campaigns

Seems to me they’d be perfectly happy living in Russia under Putin . . . or perhaps in the old USSR under Stalin

I find it so interesting that the White House continuously says: “We are standing behind this community” but yet: here we are. This should be front & center in the news on a daily basis. Every medical association supporting transgender kids should sue.

The problem sue the orgs like ADF know that if they slap the word religious across their brand the Dems won’t touch them from fear of republicans claiming they are attacking religion but we have to make it clear to Dem candidates including the president that if they want our votes and that include pro-choice supporters they have to do more then claim they have our backs

If Dems in Kentucky are going to retaliate with focused ad campaigns now is the time before the governor vetos it most of Kentucky voters are not even aware of this bill the window to stop an override closes rapidly after that
