Kudos to the Denver School District for teaching us all how to stand up to a bully and live our values. These are the types of people we need leading and role modeling to our next generation, so we don't get another generation of empathy-lacking MAGAs.
THIS is how we survive, and then go on to win. We must stand strong and in solidarity with the other marginalized communities around us, protecting each other and moving forward. Every time the administrations orders get ignored and or publicly refuted, as Denver has done. GREAT JOB!!!
I expected universities to be a focal point of resistance and have been disappointed. It's heartening to see public schools step up when higher education has not.
Oh, the universities - in the sense of the university community of students and faculty - have been resisting. It's the university administrators, their eyes firmly fixed on the golden calf of money, who have with such little fuss capitulated.
I am so proud of the Denver Public Schools for standing up to this heartless ban. Just think what a powerful message it sends to kids to see their administrators be so courageous!
I'm astonished that fully private gender-neutral facilities are not deemed acceptable to the DOE. I suppose I shouldn't be. I guess next the DOT is going to start mandating that single-occupancy and family restrooms be closed. Then there'll be no place to pee except behind a bush.
I really hope this kind of resistance continues across Colorado.
Across all states!
Good for the Denver School District and and it’s superintendent they have more balls then our colleagues, universities and corporations
I commend them for their strength and courage
We need more of these superintendent’s, colleagues, universities and corporations to have the balls and morals to stand up to this administration
Why can small school systems stand up to Trump but big law firms, enormous media companies, wealthy universities, and major medical providers can't?
They're farther away from the regular people, and a component of the power structure. They misunderstand to whom they are supposed to be accountable.

The Orange Regime: Proud of perpetually punching down since 2016.

Thank you Denver Public Schools!
