There are currently 3 Don't Say Gay bills in PA (two in the Senate, one in the House). Luckily the Dems took back the state house after 3 decades of GOP control, and the current Governor, and incoming Governor (both Dems) have said they will veto these). But, PA is the only state in the NE without a comprehensive set of protections for the entire LGBTQ+ Community. And, due to a loophole in the law, LGBTQ+ panic defense is still an option for phobes. A Coalition is currently being built to fight for legislative reforms and to get the Dens in control of the state Senate. Just thought I'd share. PA DSG bills: SB 1278, SB 1277, HB 2813. PA pro trans rights bills: HB 1582/SB 854 Prohibition of lgbtq panic defense, HB 300 Fairness Act of 2021, SB 436 An Act providing for the use of a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer identifier in all Commonwealth agency or entity blanks, forms, documents and application.

A very sad path indeed for this nation to see a bunch of bills being proposed to harm the trans community.
