Clearly, what's happening in the UK is not good, right now. It's not just about this bowing down to TERFs, even, there's some kind of reckoning happening that I didn't anticipate, not being familiar enough with that country. Arresting people for merely demonstrating in support of the Palestinians, combined with J.K.'s insane crusade against trans rights meaning that people can't speak up, I mean, where are we now? Without a divine judge to settle these matters, we're talking about the collapse of society.

To elaborate - J.K. *could be* a trans man, if she pursued that, many of them want to be women, and that's their right, but it's very clear from her personality that she is in truth trans.
What can be said about J.K. Rowling? A woman who amassed millions from her books and films now uses her extraordinary wealth and influence to support organizations and figures that critics say spread fear, prejudice, and misinformation about marginalized communities that simply want to live their lives in peace. Instead of using her platform to promote understanding and equality, she has chosen to fuel division and hostility.
Equally disappointing is the silence and inconsistency of institutions that claim to defend human rights. Amnesty UK and others profess to stand with minorities, yet too often fail to confront the growing wave of hostility directed at LGBTQ+ people and other vulnerable groups.
The United Kingdom may be a democracy, but democracy alone does not guarantee equality or justice. As long as minority communities continue to face discrimination, harassment, and violence, claims of tolerance ring hollow. Wealth and celebrity should never be used as weapons against marginalized people, and organizations that claim to defend human rights must be willing to speak out forcefully against intolerance in all its forms.

Clearly, something needs to stabilize the UK and the U.S. I have it in mind, but I just hope it comes in time.
