As a therapist, I want to acknowledge and validate emotions of frustrations and rage that we must all be feeling reading this. How unfair this seems, in addition to all the other atrocities that are taking place in a current climate against us, no matter what continent we live on.
As a human being, I just want to scream with rage.
I concur with your position, Artur. As a retired clinical psychotherapist and the Mother of a trans female, I have witnessed the cruel and unnecessary measures taken to deliberately harm humans. Individuals who support this move, are practicing “contempt prior to investigation” which is a rather polite phrase for “I support harming humans and routinely discriminate against others who are different from me”. The price being paid by trans individuals who are denied care is obscene and immeasurable.
Once again, the transgender community is being targeted by a blogger making unfounded accusations driven by bigotry, prejudice, and ideology rather than science or compassion. Transgender people are not asking for special treatment—they are asking to live their lives, receive appropriate medical care, and be treated fairly and with dignity.
It is deeply discouraging that the last remaining institution in the UK performing transgender surgery has now stopped providing these procedures. Whatever the reasons behind this decision, the result is another devastating blow to a community that has already endured relentless political attacks and discrimination.
We should be listening to qualified medical professionals and evidence—not politicians, extremists, or people whose only “qualification” is their hatred of anyone who is different from them.
Transgender people are human beings, not political punching bags. Their rights, dignity, and access to appropriate healthcare should not depend on who happens to be in power.
The situation in the UK wrt trans people is dire. As bad as things are in the US, at least there are “safe” blue states, where - at least for now - medical care and other state-based rights are being protected.
The antis really, really want us dead. That's why the most radical, damaging, and effective thing we can do is to continue living and SURVIVE. The view that we'll all just give up and detransition or kill ourselves must be fought harder than any other anti-Trans codswallop bollocks-laving nonsense out there, and each and every one of us can do it and help others do it.
We are ALL enough.
We are the ones we've been waiting for.
They will continue to kill us, and many more will die, and we'll never forget them, but as long as we center our survival, all else is possible, including ultimately, victory, with inclusion under all human rights and medical access law.
By continuing to live our mere existence serves as an indictment of the cruelty and mind-buggering stupidity and inefficiency of ALL current health systems and it is an indictment anyone can read whether they've studied law or medicine, as it is an accusation written in our blood, our faces, our shattered lives.
Yet, we persist, and shall always do so, as we have always done.
Our lives matter and perhaps Tory numpties and GOPMAGA nonces don't understand this but fate and destiny DO.

I can’t wait till we’re on the other side of this.

Nick Wallis needs to be sued into the dirt. The only language these christofascist terrorists speak is litigation.
Well obviously actually helping trans people is a sign that something is wrong. Fuck. What a world.

It’s just so sickening.

Thank you Baum.
The bias seen in it should be examined at The Hague. Confusion to the enemy!
