What a piece of work. Blame it on the trans. We're having a protest rally Saturday morning in Ferndale, Michigan, at nine mile and woodward. Trans folks will be out proclaiming that we're not going anywhere.

Another great piece Erin 💖 - also I pulled the most likely under appreciated line in the article: “The Department did not respond to Erin in the Morning’s requests for comment.”

I see the real journalistic work you are doing - thank you.

And these politicians want to literally mandate “Female = Feminine” and “Male = Masculine” as something other than old world “gender ideology” based upon “religious beliefs” that must be separated from actual constitutional government. It’s constitutionally unethical, immoral, and toxic to write laws that only affect certain people based upon their sex or their race or their religious traditions.

And they keep doing it. Identity group by identity group they divide and they conquer.

There is literally nothing in the universe that is binary. It's only a concept created by humans as a means for people who don't have the ability to understand complex issues, to pretend they understand.

Absolutely Kayla, between night and day there is twilight. You’re exactly correct.

Everyone is different therefore everyone should be treated with the same basic human kindness, respect and dignity. We should all get equal opportunity to play by the same rules, on the same fields, and cook in the same kitchens.

Ethically and morally there are only two “identify groups” I personally could imagine any individual including myself to be placed within. First: The group of one, the individual the unique, one of a kind individual. Second group is one of billions of other individuals that make up our extended family called the human race.

Only one you, and only one me, and it’s the same for everybody else one might see; and we’re all in this together. We could all get along, but no; some people got to think they’re better than other people and tell them how they should live their lives, what clothing to wear, who to pray to who to love and who to hate. Screw that.

It’s not rocket science. Seeing different people as different is normal, treating people different because of their perceived sex, religion, or ethnic background sucks. Mandating sex/gender stereotyping is inhumane.

I just have to fight the overwhelming urge to scream whenever I see the next trans attack. They're so vicious, sadistic and unwarranted. I don't know what the motivation is except, maybe, to diffuse outrage over the broad range of assaults on human and civil rights in general.

The fascists have found themselves a clever little win/win, this time. Either their extortion scheme works and they get to kick down at trans people some more, or the targeted states and institutions tell them to go pound sand, in which case they've defunded sex ed (or rather, the pathetic imitation of proper sex ed that's the best anyone can hope for in this puritan-plagued country)- which is something they wanted to do anyway, because they're a bunch of puritanical dweebs whose views on sex are as backwards and joyless as their views on everything else.

The Trump regime doesn't care how many people end up as collateral damage all in the name of eradicating trans people. Little do they know, there are more transgender people being born literally everyday.

Quite frankly I am tired of ALCU sending me emails that they have over 153 lawsuits against the taco man. I have seen no evidence that lawsuits are effective. I have been an ALCU supporter member for decades. I am just trusted to see lawsuits add up and for what. Guess I am having a down political day. I will continue to support ALCU with my membership. Just needed to vent.
