Ah thanks for balancing out the scary parts with a nice roll out of our history. I’m so happy to be a subscriber. Be well and safe. Big love, Auntie Kate

I’m not sure which is the more frustrating: the fact that, after decades of deflecting/denying my own identity via fierce allyship with other marginalized populations, my coming-out gets T-boned by these unhinged attacks on gender-nonconforming folk (a.k.a. me), or that this bogus bullshit is being used as a wedge issue cudgel to bludgeon the rights of all women before moving on to any/everyone who isn’t a cis/het/WASP/MAGA/phallocentric crybaby.

Thanks for the vent space. Next time I might not be as able to mince my words. Be safe. ✊🏼

Republicans devastate women's reproductive rights, inspire chants of threats of rape from men, dismiss all of their men's allegations of sexual violence against women, end programs that would assist women with job opportunities withheld from them by systemic sexism, and end all women's history month acknowledgments and celebrations, but still have the gall to tout their "support" of women in sports, which they've never watched or supported and famously mocked, by engaging in the genocidal erasure of a group of people whose bigotry is inherently based in misogyny. Meanwhile failing to address any of women's actual well-documented problems with safety, equality, and opportunity in sports or anywhere.

The Party of Immeasurable Hypocrisy practicing more of its doublespeak on its journey to creating a fascist state, nothing new this century. It's ultimately sad and frustrating to see women claim and think they're feminists by supporting transphobia that always consequently further subordinates women.

Don't forget Chump bailing out a pair of known sex traffickers- not to mention being an adjudicated rapist himself (and a good buddy of the late, un-lamented J. Epstein)! The notion of Republicans celebrating Women's History Month as anything other than a monument to all their own crimes is ludicrous.

I am so, so, so tired of this orange guy. This NAZI in the WH. He and his criminal ilk need to go away.

It’s just so creepy how obsessed they are with human genitals! And odd that THEY and many clergy are the pedos. Makes me vomit.

"...𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴," huh? That just might be the only thing ever to come out of his bile-spewing face hole that's somewhat adjacent to accurate. It sure fuckin' 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 like a war, sometimes.

Especially when right-wing fuckheads invade all my rights and occupy my bodily autonomy.

Thank you for creating a safe space! He’s spending so much time (and money) on this & not on the shit he promised the MAGAts during his campaign. He tried downplaying his transphobia during his interview with Time; makes me wonder if Elon is pushing him on this?

Elon certainly has a grudge against trans people, so this makes a lot of sense. But Trump has also surrounded himself with Christian Nationalists, which also have a grudge against trans people. Unfortunately, this means that both groups are pushing him on this!

Idioracy seems to be coming true.

I thought the matrix movies were about the corporate economy suckling the life out of humanity 🤔

Hi Glen, the Matrix movies are about a large variety of cultural issues but the first one is largely accepted to be a trans allegory and I recommend googling around for different perspectives on how it applies to a trans experience. My favorite trivia is that Switch was originally written to be a woman inside the Matrix and a man outside of the Matrix, but that was a bit too obvious for 1999 and didn’t make it into the final.

Also, no hate towards Idiocracy or the many people invoking it in 2025, but I think it’s important to check ourselves when citing it since the premise is basically “stupid people have too many kids” and that’s the kind of bioessentialism that ultimately hinders the progress of all marginalized groups. Here’s more info on bioessentialism, for the curious: https://oxford-review.com/the-oxford-review-dei-diversity-equity-and-inclusion-dictionary/biological-essentialism-definition-and-explanation/

Excellent. It's very important to take every opportunity to remind people of the contributions transgender women have made to society.

No mention of Wendy Carlos? She did film soundtracks, including for The Shining and Tron! Not only that, but she also provided the "orchestra" to a parody of Peter and the Wolf that "Weird Al" Yankovic narrated!
