My local girl scout told her mom that this is the first time that she has felt like being trans was something good about her, and one place she would be honored for being trans.
This is amazing! Wish we could get rid of all the duplicate scouts on the list. Gabby has been on the list for 4 years first year she isn’t getting much love.
You can find Gabby's link under this description on the original list:
Gabrielle “Gabby”:
Gabrielle “Gabby”: Gabby is a 10-year-old Girl Scout, and she and her troop are excited to take the Amtrak to Washington, D.C. to visit the zoo. They’re also looking forward to service work, supporting each other at meetings, and giving back to their community. You can buy cookies from her here!
Erin - last year Troop 8187 of Madison, WI sold 1,436 boxes of cookies via the list on your substack! We hope to be on your list this year but haven't seen it updated in awhile. GS cookie sales run from Dec to April depending on the council (ours starts in February), so I expect to see the numbers from your sale boost even higher!
Erin, if you need any help with these awesome things you do, please let us know. I am heading into retirement shortly and would love to donate time to help you continue being awesome! I am on Bluesky at oneofmanyany.bsky.social
This is a wonderful outpouring of support. Think about it. That's $1,980,000 that the Girl Scouts of America wouldn't have received if they had taken the same line of exclusion foisted on the Boy Scouts. Admittedly, in Pete Hegseth's mind that's pocket change, but I suspect it's a more significant number for those girls who are now able to do something they wouldn't otherwise be allowed to do.
Girl Scouts of the USA doesn't actually earn any money from the cookie sale. All the money from cookie sales stays local - supporting troops, the local council, camps, programs, and staff. As a troop leader for 10 awesome kids who love being in a gender-inclusive troop, we appreciate every single box sold because it means we can continue to meet, learn, and make memories in a safe and comfortable environment. Thank you!
Allison, Thank you for clearing that up for me. It's even better that all the money stays with the local girls. I'm just betting that the $1.9M will be well spent by those same girls. Oh, and if it irritates Petey boy even a little, then all the better.
I was thrilled to find out that the scout I chose to support is in my home region of my home state (though not where I live now). This is such a great project.
Ok, so I bought a "few" boxes. So proud to be able to support these bold trans Girl Scouts. Continue to be seen, heard, and loved by your community. Carry on. Your queer elders have your backs.
We bought about $200 worth when you first posted the list, and this update prompted us to buy another almost $100 worth from another scout. This is such a wonderful thing!
I was a little late in ordering. I ordered on Monday and got my shipping confirmation this morning. I NEED Girl Scout cookies. I am so happy to see that they support the girls like this.

I hope she knows everything about her is good and so many people love and support trans people!

Its such a big list this year, so I've tried to organize the socuts by cookies sold. That changes fast though.
You're doing great!
Just sent Gabby some love :)
Post Gabby's link, I'll donate!

Troop 8187 is a multi-level STEM-loving trans and nonbinary troop.
Heya! I update roughly every 2 weeks. It's a bit of a process. I plan on doing another update sometime this next week.
Thanks for the reply! We so appreciate you and the work you do!

With all the cr*p that is going on, this brought some happy tears. I plan on buying even more boxes next year.

This list was greatly helpful in getting cookies and we got to support some cool kids!

Tears of joy…..I’m sure this is a huge lift for you to do each year. Can I be proud with you? You did such a great thing!
This is amazing!!!
Thanks, Erin, for helping make it possible.
Hooray!! And I've got a couple extra pounds to show for it! Yummy -- can't wait till next year! Thanks, Erin!
This made my day!! The positivity generated by the community surrounding these girls with love is immeasurable!
I just got around to putting in my order for this year, thanks for the reminder post.

I'm celebrating this by opening my last sleeve of thin mints.
