Any direction you can give on secure ways to send funds to help people in these states gain the security they seek.

Online reports that Kansas has a population of 2.94 million people. Yet from this post it says "The state sent letters to thousands of transgender residents invalidating their licenses overnight." I believe the percentage of trans I Kansas is a very small percentage. Maybe unintended consequences is what it will take to stop this attack on trans driver licenses.

Hi all - sending link to a personal-reflection piece about the journey of Eurydice Fragments, a queer XR opera produced in Vancouver: https://reopera.ca/2026/02/25/eurydice-fragments-vagabond-shoes/

With our cast & crew of trans and GNC folx, we've rescheduled U.S. touring plans. As a dual U.S./Canadian citizen & co-creator of the piece I reflect.

Not sure that this fits the mandate of the Lavendar Ledger as a news digest -- but possibly of interest to readers.

Is that Teiya I spy in your artist gallery? He's amazing. Following his "This Is My Voice" series on Patreon.

Yes!!! The amazing Teiya Kasahara (https://www.teiyakasahara.com/), one of the co-creators of this show.

So cool! And yes, your post is very resonant to this cis soprano with NYC ties.

Erin,

on the Trans Porn is Booming reporting...

On the "activists" (it be good to know who) perspective on growth in Trans Porn "contradiction reveals something deeperβ€”that many of those seeking to harm transgender people also view us primarily as objects of sexual fascination" I don't doubt that that there is a push from the rightwing to demonise "Them" - in this case the trans group (one of the many Other groups out there)... That sad "demonise them" presentation of Other(s) is being worked hard, and as your reporting shows, is being heavily funded by political and religious groups.

However, for some of these trans porn watchers, I believe it may be deeper than them simply demonising or hating the trans group. For these folks there maybe a Jungian Shadow element to their behaviour....

For these folks, perhaps a part of a substantial minority, they may subconsciously, or unconsciously experience feelings as their sexual orientation. In that spectrum of our humanity questions on gender identity (and sexuality) may result in people "accidentally" confronting(facing their own Jungian Shadow - their very own repressed, ignored, denied or undervalued aspects of self. This self confrontation can provoke a strong defensive reaction, as these thoughts challenge their own deeply held beliefs and norms about gender - confronting these folks with something that they are unable to take!

It's challenging territory (peoples minds), but may be deeply ironic. That these folks "need" the porn (or attempt a real-life trans "relationship") and yet it's in their genes (or was that jeans).

Societal and/or religious pressures, and a certain lack of courage...

In any scenario (denying an expression of Shadow, or "simply" hatred, it's all so sad indeed.

Thank you for what you do (week round and year round it seems!)
