His answer is the easiest answer to the trans health care question. It's also the right one. Why more Democrats can't answer the question in a way that appeals to (almost) everyone is beyond me.

Their discussions about this must become fodder for "reconciliation hearings", and those who are duplicitous and evasive must face 42 U.S.C. § 1983, 18 U.S.C. § 241, & 18 U.S.C. § 242 prosecution for their role in engineering, funding, and carrying out the propaganda campaign and enacting the laws and policies against transgender people.
Why wouldn't Democrats want to take as many of these people as they can out of circulation?

Each time I read the question, “do you think men should be allowed to participate in women’s sports?” I am struck by fact that it’s THE WRONG QUESTION. The question is not about men in women’s sports, it’s about transgender people participating in women’s sports. The basic assumption is incorrect. A transgender female athlete is not a man. They are a woman.
Whether or not a particular transgender athlete can be able to compete in a particular sport is a different question…and a more complex one. What sport are we talking about? What sort of competition does the athlete or team participate in? How do athletes get chosen or qualify for a particular team or a certain category of sporting event?
There are 39 different types of sports between the Summer and Winter Olympics. There are several professional sports leagues for many other types of games/competitions. Gender identity is a major issue for some athletes/sports, while it doesn’t matter AT ALL in other sports.
Another question: WHY ARE WE TRYING TO LEGISLATE INTO LAW WHO CAN OR CANNOT PLAY A SPORT?
Sports have nothing to do with government funding, operations or mission. It’s not something we ought to be writing laws about at the state or federal level of government.
I think I know why right-wingers carve out reproductive and gender-affirming care issues as exceptions to the right to make one's own medical decisions. They seem to believe people have an obligation to society to make babies - the more the better. In a sense, they believe our reproductive anatomy belongs to them - indeed to everyone! And what is done with it should be a matter of law. It's a pretty sick way of looking at things, but I truly believe that is their thought process.
While El-Sayed stated that medical decisions for transgender youth and LGBTQ+ individuals should be made by doctors, patients, and parents, he would not clearly commit to voting to protect those rights.
That leaves a very important question unanswered: Will he stand up and fight to protect those rights when it matters, or will he leave the door open to politicians who want to take them away?
When it comes to the rights and healthcare of our transgender youth and LGBTQ+ community, good intentions and carefully worded statements are not enough. We need elected officials who will stand firmly for equality and back up their words with action.
Our community deserves a clear answer—not a political dodge.
