But since the first one (Anthony Barbaro was the asshole, 1974), the most corelating factor is unaddressed abuse and consequent mental illness, and it is only by looking at only the last 5 years or so there is any over-representation of apparently transgender people. Seen over a phenomenon long timeframe (1974 to 2026), a transgender person is about 1/4 as likely to be a school shooter as a cisgender person.
