Can we sue for defamation of character as a collective? This hate speech leads to violence. Why is Joe Rogan immune from being held accountable for the violence he is engendering?

The fact that this asshole is still relevant tells me everything I need to know about our society.

".....so you give them a fucking Willy Wonka golden ticket to go into [...] the women’s locker room and the women’s bathroom and stare at women ....."

Wait, he's talking about Trump, right?

Bona fide asshole. No wonder Bari Weiss likes him.

Weiss is interesting. What was her gateway drug into MAGAstan? Greed? Netanyahuism? TERFness? Mumsnet? Gencrit/Qanon?

She's revealed who she truly is, however, and there's no putting THAT back in the box.

Steve-O should be ashamed for getting involved with a freak like Rogan, and he should be ashamed for not pushing back against hate speech the moment he heard it.

Just when someone is starting to get out, to realize many of their preconceptions are wrong, there's always some asshole to spout more of them, to ensure empathy remains stamped out.

Joe Rogan is a GENUINE PIECE OF SHIT. The man is nothing but a roided out BULLY who only has a huge platform because this society is dominated by roided out bullies like him. And he is obviously DEAD WRONG about trans women, the vast majority of us just do our business and get out of the bathrooms like everyone else.

And speaking personally, I am DEATHLY afraid of women's locker rooms and will refuse to join friends on swim or hot spring trips if it involves changing in them. So that blows his stupid theory out of the water, doesn't it? Because if we become trans just to gawk at other women why the FUCK do we avoid those situations in the first place?

Fuck Joe Rogan and fuck EVERYBODY who thinks they know everything there is to know about gender dysphoria, which is NOTHING. They know precisely FUCK ALL and I wish they would quit propagandizing our lives.

Some lesser-known content from before the wave of trans acceptance of the mid 2010s shows exactly how dark his take has always been on the trans community, trans women in particular https://medium.com/@lilygist/just-looking-at-a-tr-nny-makes-me-sick-joe-rogan-podcast-features-hate-speech-ba7206ef2f60

Thank you for sharing this Erin, and thank you for being so diligent with your research despite the haters. You are a gift to us. Joe Rogan supported the Dumpster fire for years, and still does to a large degree. The sad fact that Joe has so much support around the world speaks to the predatory nature of his violence, entitlement, and lack of morals, and some of the world's similar values. I tend to waste no time on this type of evil, except paying attention. Joe Rogan has grown a mob of haters. EVIL

He's just making the world more dangerous for us. End of story.

Then he says that 'trans men are fine' because, you know, 'we men are not afraid of them'. This fucking guy could be talking about potential solutions instead of pushing us toward the 'ultimate solution'.

He also continues to not understand how chromosomes work. Intersex people exist. He pushes the 'mental illness' trope.

I just gets worse. Don't watch this, please.

Lovely.

Meanwhile autogynephilia is out of the ICD11 and is going to be removed from the DSM6 whenever they get to it, because it turns out Blanchard's chief motivation in developing his faux etiology was justifying (probably mostly to himself) his banging some of his research subjects . . .

Talk about a "pervert".

And there is a slight grain of truth to the "trans school shooter" narrative, if only because the classic archetype is the abused/psycho student shooting up their/former classmates and school (or a school). But since the first one (Anthony Barbaro was the asshole, 1974), the most corelating factor is unaddressed abuse and consequent mental illness, and it is only by looking at only the last 5 years or so there is any over-representation of apparently transgender people. Seen over a phenomenon long timeframe (1974 to 2026), a transgender person is about 1/4 as likely to be a school shooter as a cisgender person.

The overwhelmingly strong correlation is with someone being a "known wolf" who arguably should have been involuntarily committed. It is far too difficult to involuntarily and by due process, declare the violently insane to be insane -- like the most recent TX school shooter they tried to claim was transgender had a habit of killing small animals and carrying their bodies around in grocery bags . . .

Classic rightwing move by classic rightwing trash

rogan, like many maggots, has been realizing that he may have f*d up a bit by supporting trump, whose intention to not leave office and to destroy America for his own benefit becomes more and more evident each day to anyone who may have ever been foolish enough to doubt trump would willingly ruin this country

And what does any rightwing scum do when they fail? They attack trans people

Rightwing betas who can’t compete obsessing over trans women — we could almost call them all chasers!

The continued stream of racist, bigoted, and vile commentary coming from Joe Rogan regarding transgender people and other marginalized communities cannot simply be dismissed as “controversial opinions.” What we are witnessing is the reckless amplification of misinformation and prejudice to a massive audience, wrapped in the cynical disguise of entertainment.

Rogan has repeatedly used his enormous platform to ridicule, demean, and question the very humanity of transgender people while providing cover for those who wish to erase them from public life.

These are not harmless jokes or casual observations—they are narratives that embolden discrimination, legitimize harassment, and fuel the same cultural hostility that already places transgender individuals among the most targeted and vulnerable communities in our society.

Even more disturbing is the casual way in which these claims are delivered—often with little evidence, little expertise, and little regard for the real-world consequences.

When someone with Rogan’s reach spreads unsubstantiated allegations and inflammatory rhetoric, it does not remain confined to a podcast studio.

It spills into schoolyards, workplaces, legislatures, and families, reinforcing the ignorance and cruelty that too many transgender people already face every day.

Let us be absolutely clear: transgender people are not a punchline, not a talking point for culture-war theatrics, and certainly not a convenient scapegoat for those seeking attention or profit.

They are human beings deserving of dignity, respect, safety, and equal protection under the law.

What Rogan and others peddling similar rhetoric fail to grasp—or choose to ignore—is that the transgender community is not disappearing and will not be bullied into silence.

Attempts to demonize them reveal far more about the insecurity and intolerance of their critics than about the people they target.

Public figures who wield enormous influence have a responsibility to exercise it with honesty and integrity. Instead, Rogan has chosen to traffic in sensationalism, half-truths, and outright distortions that inflame prejudice and divide communities.

Those who value truth, equality, and basic human decency must continue to challenge this rhetoric wherever it appears.

Silence in the face of bigotry is complicity.

The transgender community—and all communities targeted by racist and hateful speech—deserve allies who will speak loudly, clearly, and unapologetically in defense of their humanity.

It sickens me that individuals with very little morality and little shame like him are allowed to make huge sums of money from degrading others

What he just said in that rant is literal Nazi hate speech and should be condemned as such.

Obviously one doesn't expect actual communication with Rogan or his friends. But for readers of EITN, your links can be supplemented by some complementary references to high-quality studies of those mythical dangers. (One from a group named the "Police Foundation" no less, as well as academic studies.)
