Let’s call it what this truly is: Madness. Hysteria. They’re obsessed with us to the point of frothing at the mouth. They’re the type of people who need restraining orders. All we want is to be treated equally, left alone, and most of all, TO LIVE!!!

Yet they can’t stop thinking about us (in the worst ways possible)!

this does seem to be a true "derangement syndrome".

Exactly. Whoever called it “Trans Derangement Syndrome” put it succinctly.

We should start filing restraining orders against them.

If that were true, then why not just have those teams play each other and avoid this whole thing? I really wish I lived in the conservative world where everyone is trans.

Yeah I could have more Trans friends if there were as many around as they think 🤔

Great idea, Aurora! What would it be called? The NTL? The National Trans-Ball League? They probably couldn't find enough players for more than 1/2 a team, though.

According to Tuberville, the NTL could be the next Pickleball! Such a visionary, Tommy! Did you invest in Tesla at its peak? Any good stock tips?

I'm not a gamer but maybe we should start an online league. Publicize it, pointing out that since there are so few trans people that online was the only way we could get together

And what's also stupid about him saying "entire teams are turning trans" is it completely ignores how sports works.....where people have to try out for teams and stuff.

If he's saying that when men's team (after simultaneously transitioning into a team of trans women), the existing women's team is "fired" and replaced, well, where are all the "fired" cis women's teams complaining about it???? If they existed Fox would surely interview them.

> Senator Tuberville’s remarks are the latest in a growing string of bizarre and baseless statements about transgender people in schools and sports.

Tuberville is so hard to follow. I remember watching the Senate hearing for the trans sports ban and he said something like "I don't want TRANS MEN playing women's sports" and I'm like they don't want to play women's sports either? He misgenders so inconsistently and confusingly I don't even know what he's trying to say.

Because they have zero clue about trans people and most of the country doesn't either. So they just string slurs, insults and outrageous claims against us.

Trans Derangement Syndrome.

These people have gone completely mad. But my fear is that so have the people listening to this garbage.

Senator Tuberville (R-AL) is widely acclaimed as being the least intelligent man ever elected to Congress, though US House Representative Louis Gohmert (R-TX) is threatening to sue any journalist making such a claim, as he has proudly held that title against all comers for over sixteen years.

Evidence is a foreign word for them. It’s on purpose, they know they can get away with it.

I would rather say that they know quite well what "evidence" means, and therefore avoid it like the proverbial plague. Of course their only goal is stirring up hatred against people who have done nothing hateful; tactics Joseph Goebbels understood quite well (and they're even quoting him!).

The anti-trans movement regularly sees the name of Stephen B. Levine. This is someone who compares our healthcare to that with "nazi-practices".

Multiple newspapers in my country have propped up that remark as a valid, normal concern and remark to make and made trans people out to be the extremists... It is wild how critical thinking with some journalists seems to have gone out the window in The Netherlands as well.

I worry that it's part of the plan. It's Steve Bannon's "flood the zone with s**t." Their flood of outrageous disinformation is designed to make people give up and say that no one can know what's true. It's been successfully used by authoritarians many times. As a Trump spokesperson said after being challenged in his statement that the crowd at Trump's 2017 inauguration was... I don't recall exactly... some huge number, the biggest ever, the spokesperson replied "alternative facts."

The point is to disorient people and make them give up, so the authoritarians can pursue their agenda.

I think there's no doubt that's right. My counter to it is that the courts have not rolled over to play dead the way the majority of national media and our "representatives" have. We're getting wins there; not always - of course - but judges are not being flooded or disoriented. (We'll see, to be sure, what SCOTUS does; there are two truly vile partisans there, but I think Roberts still has a real if highly flexible spine. He doesn't want to lose relevance.)

I did a post on that, too! ☺️ https://jaynasheats.substack.com/p/transgender-survival-today-and-even

My hopes rest with Justices Barrett and Gorsuch.

My reasoning -

Gorsuch and Roberts voted to protect our rights in Bostock.

I worry about Roberts because in Skremetti's oral arguments about gender affirming care for minors, he seems to be buying into the notion the medical evidence is disputed and the court isn't doctors.

Gorsuch was silent during the orals, so I continue to hope with him.

During the orals, Barrett seemed to be favorably considering whether we should be a protected class.

The Minnesota Star Tribune did a nice front page story in the Sunday 4/6 newspaper. They profile two transgender high school athletes, one female and one male, who are on sports teams. Neither of them is dominating in their sport. They both value their team sports experience for the same reasons that any high school athlete does--for the joy of playing, for the physical fitness, and especially for the team cameraderie and the friendship and belonging that they experience with their team. Their parents back them up,emphasizing how important this has been for their child.

Oh wait, he watched that dirt-stupid movie from Ben Shapiro...

It was also weird to hear him say men and women's teams. Like, I mean, if we forego the retarded nature of such a remark, wouldn't that cancel each other out then?

But I am glad that we are continuously seeing people who love to shout that "we make it all about gender" can't stop thinking, fantasizing and speaking ABOUT us, our genitals, sex lives and what not.

As long as Fox News and similar media continue to give voice to false narrative such as Tuberville's, without any attempt at fact checking, we can expect this rubbish to spread. We need more coverage of the true numbers and the stories of Trans Athletes in mainstream media, so the truth can be backed up by one's neighbors in discussion.
