From my bottom of my heart, I just want to wish Hawley a terrible day and a short, pathetic political career.

I still cannot believe Missouri voters thought it was a good idea to replace Dem. Sen. Claire McCaskill with this insurrectionist asshole in 2018 … and then re-elected him in 2024. Remember Josh’s fist pump to the rioters on January 6th? For shame.

Remember his cowardly dash through the halls that same day?

Punkette's avatar

Ugh, yes! Friggin coward. 🤨

Lol "half of your content"???? These people are ridiculous. I would be pleasantly surprised if even 1% of Netflix's children shows had transgender representation.

Meanwhile these assholes continue to defend and support a LITERAL PEDOPHILE who is turning this country inside-out. And they say NOTHING about the DAILY litany of church leaders who are arrested and charged with child sexual abuse.

My contempt for Republicans knows no bounds.

Josh Hawley? The guy seen opening a door in the Capital building on Jan 6 to let in "peaceful protestors", and then seen running away, back towards safety instead of hanging with his people? That Josh Hawley? Wasting taxpayers time and money with outrageous, unverified claims about programming that he doesn't like and attacks on a media company that is probably more problematic in other ways than the one he is suggesting? No...impossible.../s

These whining christo-fascists will never be appeased until all media and journalism conforms to their pointy headed ultra right wing, white-male-cis-het-evangelical-toxically-patriarchal-authoritarian view of the world.

The regime is waging an incremental war of a thousand cuts against journalism and the media right now.

Fun Fact: Josh Hawley doesn't even live in Missouri. His primary residence is in Virginia. And yet somehow, he is allowed to represent the state of Missouri as a United States Senator.

Josh Hawley and others who use their positions to denigrate the transgender community and others without facts to back them up are racists and bigots who have no moral values.

False claims about the transgender community aren’t “opinions” — they are misinformation, plain and simple.

These attacks are pushed without credible evidence, without medical consensus, and without any regard for the real human beings whose lives are affected.

Major medical and psychological organizations agree that transgender people deserve evidence-based care, dignity, and the freedom to live safely as themselves.

Yet some continue to spread fear and distortion because outrage is easier than facts.

Repeating debunked talking points doesn’t protect anyone. It fuels harassment, discrimination, and policies that put vulnerable people at risk. If someone wants to make serious accusations, they should be prepared to back them with serious, verifiable evidence — not rumors, ideology, or political theater.

Transgender people are not a talking point.

They are our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family members.

They deserve truth, respect, and the same basic rights as everyone else.

F-ck Hawley and every other Republican who presumes to lecture me about any matter concerning gender, sex, sexuality and "family values" period in light of what is in the Epstein files. Hey Hawley go do something about all of the Epstein pedos before you dare come back to me on any of these issues.

Bet he didn’t say anything about Orange Jesus featuring prominently in the Epstein files. Every accusation is a confession little Joshy. Mind your own genitals you creepy bastard.

He said it to distract you from the files and to get covered by the media

Why is it that the folks who scream the loudest seem to have deep and likely unresolved gender issues - body builders MTG and Nancy Mace (first female graduate of the Citadel) JK Rowling (a trans man without the guts to transition), and this guy, Hawley, who writes books about manhood?

When Hawley refers to the majority of children's programming on Netflix I presume he's referring mostly to the programming he likes to watch himself.

What are the odds he pays for the subscription 🤔

Maybe we should start calling him " senator McCarthy " 😁

Thank you all for standing up for equality and trans rights. As we move into 💩heads second year I hoped the American people would be tired of this. Lil’ joshy poo just mad cause he can’t find a trans girlfriend.

Grow up you wee little boy.

Hmmm. We should get a look at his browser history.

But in a lot of ways this is the bottom story of the day. It's the ASPS and AMA we need to push back against effectively.

Remember when Paramount merged with Skydance and no one said anything on how it's a lot of it's programming is geared to white straight people. Netflix is not a government commodity. It can show what it wants. The only questions should be about monopoly issues of two studios merging.

Trans people really do live rent free in bigots heads.

You have to wonder how they don't exhaust themselves living day to day with how hateful their hearts are.

“We have no political agenda,” Sarandos insisted. “We have a great deal of programming on Netflix, left, right and center.”

For far-right conservative Christians, there can be only one side, theirs.
