Imagine that- governments which take action to 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵 their citizens, instead of scheming up new ways to abuse them! Next you'll be telling me they consider healthcare a basic human right instead of a luxury commodity, and that they believe in public schooling, to the point of *𝘨𝘢𝘴𝘱* feeding the children while they're at school! Without charging them for the meals, even! What a topsy-turvy world these Europeans live in!

It’s all over Europe , and for good cause that they do this. I suspect it will continue abroad

Maybe you've already discussed this and I missed it, but Global Pride is in DC in a couple of months. I mean, I saw festive signs about there in January when last I visited. What. How.

I believe the rallies on Sunday March 31st in Chicago, at 1pm, are all over the country, not just Chicago.

In the past I have traveled extensively. In 2016 I purchased a t-shirt that said "Sorry about our President" in about 12 different languages. Who ever thought I would again be wearing that t-shirt. Worse yet I never imagined I would be wearing in locally.

Can I declare my litter box on the medical declaration form? If I need to be patted down can I request a male or female and will I have my choice depending upon how they look? So many questions. Do we know if these standards apply to boat travel and train travel? The Creed Cruise is coming up and I don’t want to be hassled. I’ve they’re welcoming with Arms Wide Open but I really don’t want to be in my Own Prison. I know there is security to make sure you don’t have anything that can take you Higher. These are difficult times.

Hmm. I'm not sure whether to apply Poe's law or Brandolini's to your comment.

I love to travel across borders ~ state borders included ~ and experience how other cultures live: their markets, the language, history, music, art and artists, their joys and yes, why they cry. Now, I don't even feel like I can travel the few hundred miles that would put me in Canada, a place I've traveled to many times and love. And I will go no place in this country where my daughter and all the rest of my beautiful community of queer people are not safe traveling to. I will stay here on my little corner of this amazing planet and tend to my self, my family, my garden, my art, my dear friends, my neighbors, and I'll celebrate each day even if I get so fucking depressed I crawl up into a little ball on my bed wondering WTF is wrong with so many people that they didn't see this coming.

Keep celebrating your beautiful lives and let's show up in the streets, make phone calls, cook good healthy food, and let's all be thinking seriously about a general strike! If we keep talking to each other about it we can prepare and make those of us in our immediate community as safe as possible. Know your neighbor! Share your wonderful and caring and courageous lives! Make Art! Love! Stay Safe!!

Belgium also changed their travel advice for LGBTQI people yesterday. It was pretty widely in the news and most of them called out transgender rights specifically.

I would not recommend coming to the US at this time. Sadly we are hosting Worldcon and the Hugo Awards in Seattle this year.

"At the federal and state levels, the Trump Administration’s alarming restrictions on trans people’s state IDs"

I'm familiar with the passport issues, and action by red states, but what action(s) has the Trump Administration taken affecting our state IDs? Does this refer to the theoretical (as far as I know) affect or "REAL" IDs issues by states because they are linked to federal requirements?
