On January 31st, Ron DeSantis in a press conference signaled his desire to end gender affirming care for trans youth. Trump then released an incendiary video with broad anti-trans measures.

WE GET CALLS EVERYDAY FROM KIDS ON THE EDGE OF DEPRESSION AND LACK OF HOPE. WE NEED ENCOURAGEMENT. WE NEED MORE FIGHT, ACLU,ETC. THE OFFICE OF CIVIL RIGHTS, THE DEPT OF EDUCATION ETC. Republicans have become increasingly vocal about their opposition although it’s unclear whether they gain support from their extremely conservative policies. They could splinter into two groups as we’ve seen in the religious communities. It’s wishful thinking but possible
Let’s be clear some of us will not put up with a national ban they can expect unrest including cyber , but keep in mind Trump was president and was saying this then too and the institutions held but if they don’t then Donnie or Ronnie will meet resistance
Trump is too dumb to accomplish anything. However if he picks a VP like Pence then they will be pushing laws like these through and nobody will actually oppose it. These are truly scary times because I’m wondering which of these two guys is less evil.
DeSantis is definitely the one we should be most concerned with. He seems to have a personal hatred towards anything not like him. tRump just cares about himself and who will dig deep into their pockets to find him. Pence definitely wouldn't be his selection for VP this time and Pence has the evangelical Christian support and is the only reason he was ever picked for 2016.

We actually got lucky that Trump was just a buffoon with a giant ego because if he actually cared about his agenda he would have built the wall and thank goodness he didn't. The real danger is whoever the Trump VP pick is. I feel like Trump is toast and Desantis is doing truly scary things to marginalized people.

I could see them going after the doctors/surgeons and the use of the drugs to end care for us adults.
