Not often has such a small group of peaceful people been so defamed, disparaged, slandered, and misrepresented as those society labels “Trans”. Never in my 65 year lifetime have I witnessed anything so deceitful and hateful coming from anyone. That this violation of decency is being pursued by a former ingrate US President is earth shattering.

This really complicates the problem of selecting a good school for your children. Now you have to consider the quality of their operating rooms.

Can you imagine the quality of an operating room on a school budget? We can't afford livable wages for teachers and support staff, but we can scrounge up an operating room and totally fully qualified doctors!

Yes. It's much safer at the local Pizzagate franchise.

FFS, the entire litterbox hoax happened because "bucket full of kitty litter" was the only affordable answer to the question "𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘨𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭?"

The notion of a public school even having the budget for a properly-outfitted nurse's office, let alone an operating theater and a surgeon on call, is only slightly less ridiculous than thinking the moon is made of cheese.

Well when you throw in the fact that intrusive conservative positions would be making the health decisions it even more complicated. Never dreamed our health decisions would be put in their hands. Your comment made me smile for sure.

I recall the GOP talking point of "death panels" when Obama care was being proposed. Seems like it's come true but it's the Republicans who are the panel and kids, ( not the unborn or infirmed) who are being put on death row.

𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 death panels, on the other hand- insurance companies denying claims for lifesaving care- they've never had a problem with.

I wish they cared half as much about children getting gunned down by AR15's as they did about this non-existent issue.

That's a perfect encapsulation of our politics today. One side feels bound (more or less) by truth and facts, and the other side just says whatever nonsense comes into their heads regardless of whether it has any connection to reality.

The problem has reached its apex with Trump, but it's been building since Ronald Reagan at least.

I hope the fact that Moms for (an Orwellian definition of) Liberty admitted to lying can be used in court testimony.

I'm trying to remember the name of a publication I used to see in grocery stores. It has outlandish stories like that, but I can't remember its name. Saw it in the 70's and 80's. Dangit, my brain is losing cells thinking of all this bullshit.

Found it. The National Enquirer. Wonder if it still exists? My eyes are too tired to look more and see. LOL

If you are praising a convicted felon because his dangerous, bald-faced lies help your cause, you might not be on the right side of history.

Ya know, for people so obsessed with the “truth”, the transphobes sure seem to lie habitually.

“It grabbed your attention, and we’re talking about it now, and that makes me very happy.”

That is and has always been their point and she literally said this out loud that it doesn't matter if it's all bullshit, it got the media and other people talking about it. The same shit was done with CRT and DEI.

It just blows my mind that people can be that stupid, and yet here we are. Another concern with this ridiculous claim is that it makes public schools "dangerous" and plays into the collapse of the public education system. Alternatively, can't you just see some well armed conspiracy theorist running into a local school, demanding to see where the surgery is done, and then shooting up the school in order to "save the children"? 🤦🏼‍♀️

This claim is so cartoonishly outlandish that I can’t believe that it is being stated, or that any reasonable person would believe it for an instant. Unfortunately, there are a lot of low-information voters out there who will gladly vote against their interests if sufficiently whipped into a frenzy over hot-button social issues. As the latest round of polls show favorable numbers for Trump, I am feeling very discouraged right now. It is often said that voters in an election get the leaders they deserve.

Remember the reason Trump rose to political prominence in the first place: it was his Obama birther statements. It didn't matter that it wasn't true. People wanted to hear it to confirm their biases. There was a demand for it. January 6th was an extreme version of this. What Trumpy is doing with his anti-Trans lies is filling a demand for lies and bullshit that comfort bigots, which is his bread and shit butter.

Honestly no one believe this. People see how underfunded most schools and teachers are, but sadly it fits their bias that the government and society is controlled by the woke mob and they'll use it to fuel their anger.

My mom was a school nurse for one year and she got complaints from parents and teachers for giving kids peppermints for stomach aches and had to stop. From my own experience as a kid with invisible illnesses, school nurses had zero power and authority. You have to be drowning in MAGA Kool-aid to believe they are giving kids secret surgeries.

The acceptability of lies is so frightening. The end justifies the means for these people, no matter what. Trump is just a means to an end. We have to keep fighting. Pay attention to what is going on in your community and NIP IT IN THE BUD! Watch your school boards! VOTE! Take no chances!

I find myself in hopes that the felon will make some absolutely incredible statement during the debate. Then I wish that Kamala would simply say "a lie as absurd as that does not deserve a response." Then I immediately feel scared that those uninformed and those lacking education might believe him. It sure is an emotional roller coaster.
