If you look at the language they use to justify the ban of trans people, it's literally they want to know what's in someone's pants by just looking at them. It's freaking creepy how obsessed these politicians are with genitals.

It IS! I’m so glad I am not the only one who has thought of that.

So, if the Republicans can call trans people deranged, child groomers, child molesters, child rapists based upon zero evidence and a straw man argument, can we then make the argument that all white, cis male Republicans are actually child molesters, child groomers, potential rapists based upon a real and documented example? I mean, it's only fair right?

Growing up in Texas, I learned early on that “Fear based teachings “ are a common practice in both the conservative Christian community and the Republican Party. For many years I have wondered why are conservatives so Angry, so confrontational, and I think it comes down to they fear what they cannot control.

Yes. I think we have to look at the culture we live in ~ our whole society is grooming kids to be sexual and older than they are; and why is that? I've been asking these questions for many many years. It seems to come down to power and money ~ capitalism and colonization.

96% of convicted US child sexual assault perpetrators with a political party affiliation are... GOP.

Authoritarian mindsets, a rejection of body autonomy and consent rights, the feeling of entitlement as an adult of ownership over the bodies and lives of children, patriarchal cultural and religious ideology weaponizing and actualizing entitlement, unchecked white supremacism and misogyny, there are no mysteries why they are the party of rape and child sexual abuse.

Yet they have the GALL to accuse us of being "a danger", when we Trans Americans are four times MORE LIKELY TO BE THE VICTIMS OF VIOLENT CRIME.

Yet they get away with it.

They KEEP getting away with it.

America is a fact free zone where there are no consequences for lying, falsehoods, libel, and genocidalist propaganda. The biggest GOP liar gets to be president, lies 32,000 times in his first term, and the mainstream media never questions his statements.

This is no country to bring a child into the world.

Hey Jaimie, do you have any source for the 96% GOP affiliation stat? I would be very curious to read that. Thanks in advance.

I googled this: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=are+sexual+assult+contribituted+more+to+one+polical+party+or+another

I don't know if the number are correct, but there sure is a lot of information about how the two parties view sexual assault and misogyny. Check it out.

Yasha, I went looking for the source for that quote, and I can't find anything that confirms that number. I should know better than to use unverified numbers. The best I can come up with after backtracking through conversations is a list of CSA crimes committed by Republicans but it's 9 years out of date, and isn't all politically identified Republicans but GOP elected and public figures. I don't know if the time frame advantages or disadvantages the 96% evaluation. It looks like from context and contrast it's closer to around 75%. I wish there was a way to edit that statement, I very much dislike having information under my name that isn't demonstrably provable.

On the other hand, this list of crimes is absolutely shocking.

People who do sex crimes need to be people willing to harm others for their own gratification. Thats going to line up with corruption and positions of power more often than not. A political party that focuses mainly on scapegoating and genocide is going to have all the worst people, every time. (edit, also there is a way to edit your posts, at least in the pc browser version of the site - look for the elipses at the top right of your post, and click that for a dropdown that contains an edit option)

Ruxine, thank you both for the analysis, with which I concur 100% sociologically the psychologically, and for the tip on the edit function. I seldom use my laptop and don't see that function on tablet or phone; I should have thought to look there. I also appreciate your telling me this with kindness and not tech shaming an old woman with poor vision, lol.

Do we know if the child was trans? Maybe the child groomed the Sen. I know that when you transition as a youth the first thing they teach you is how to corrupt the heart and soul of straight Christian men…… Maybe the police saved the senator from being groomed to be a drag queen. We should thank the police for saving another good Christian man. ……. Sorry, I just wanted to see if I could be a right wing writer.

The original reports I received said he thought the girl was 16, and I realized that the age of the girl is completely irrelevant. He thought she was underage, and that is what matters. And with the fact that he has been targeting trans people, and specifically trans women, he needs to go from the MN house. Also, he needs to spend some time in jail.
