We certainly can’t have Transgender Chess, of all things. It’s bad enough if a woman beats a man, but imagine the humiliation of a straight upstanding MAGA man being checkmated by a *gasp* trans woman??? Talk about Kings and Queens in chess!!! WWJD???
That's the situation they're (unintentionally) lobbying to make happen. If they get their way and force all trans women to compete in men's sports, there's eventually going to be a situation where a very femme trans woman wins a competition against a bunch of men. Imagine the meltdown of fragile male egos when that happens!
Their end goal, of course, is to mandate us all out of existence entirely, but they know they can't do that all at once.
Michigan Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks is spot on. Taking time out to vilify trans people simply for political gain and animus particularly when they have no real insight or knowledge of the subject makes a mockery of the legislative process. This neither protects children or women and in fact makes it more dangerous for them.
But this will make Kid Rock sad. He’s been having a rough time lately. His bar got raided, Detroit lost and Twisted Brown Trucker band just isn’t the same. It’s not even acceptable for him to have his own little person any more(he really misses Don Jr.)
This is good news for Michigan, not the least of which is that sports bans, once the get passed, usually lead to much worse things. It never stops there.
Even so, the recent rightward turn of Michigan is concerning.
The reason they think it's inappropriate to ask about gender status in the legislature but OK to ask in public schools, is that they are absolutely certain that they can tell whether a child is trans, cis, or something else.
