Who are the 8 dems who support discrimination against trans girls?

I found them!

Rep. Alabas Farhat

Rep. Peter Herzberg

Rep. Tullio Liberati

Rep. Denise Mentzer

Rep. Reggie Miller

Rep. Will Snyder

Rep. Angela Witwer

Rep. Mai Xiong

Please make sure these uneducated, hateful individuals lose their next election to a progressive democrat!

Politicians need to stay the fuck out of things that are too complex for them to understand.

If you applied that standard, politicians would have to stay out of everything.

Responsible legislators try to be informed about the subjects of the legislation they vote on and especially the legislation they introduce. Even if they're not subject matter experts themselves, they read reputable sources, they have staff and institutional research support, and they listen to experts. They don't always get it right, but they do at least try.

Many Democrats take the job seriously and try to be responsible legislators. Not all of them, certainly, but it's part of the political culture to want to stay informed in those brief slices of time between fundraising calls.

When I was young, mainstream Republicans used to do that too. Not anymore. Ignorance is now a badge of honor on the political right, and we're going to suffer as a country until that stops being true.

I got your original comment. I even pushed the like button. Then I decided to leave a serious comment in response. Not as criticism, just lamenting the state of politics.

They believe they are above the law, and only create laws as obstacles for others. Socially, ethically, financially, morally, and racially. Theye craft a system that aids themselves and increases the barriers for entry for everyone else.

It isn't allowed to question his gender or place tests he needs to complete to prove his gender. These are things he and his party impose on others. This is how things have always been for those struggling to maintain a false narrative of unnatural control over others by people who lack true moral qualification to lead others.

It's hard not to conclude that the ultimate goal of all this is not just to make public life untenable for trans people, but also to close as many doors as possible to cis women, in order to re-assert conservative notions of gender hierarchy. By making participation in sports uncomfortable and burdensome, and by opening up an easy path for predators to gain access to female athletes under the guise of 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 the fuck they plan to call their crotch inspectors, they undoubtedly hope that many girls and women- trans and cis alike- will just not even try.

These regressive fucks would have us go back to a time when hysteria was an actual medical diagnosis, and when it was commonly believed that physical exertion would make a woman's uterus fall out. It goes without saying that trans people would be afforded no place whatsoever in their world- but cis women would barely have one, either.

This is it exactly. Harming trans women ALSO harms cis women. And that is the PLAN.

They want dirty old men to be able to look and touch these young children to get their “proof” and do it legally. They need to be called out like this. How do they expect these kids to prove themselves? If he’s uncomfortable doing it image someone 30-40 years younger trying to do it?

This is why it's imperative to show these hypocrites what they're imposing on people. Are they ready and willing to disclose genetics and genitals to every inspector? I'd imagine not.

Terrific reporting S. Baum. Thanks for sharing the details and keeping us informed about the pathetic but dangerous efforts of conservative politicians to restrict the rights of trans people in our country.

And kudos to Michigan Democratic State Representative Mike McFall for pointing out the obvious danger of the proposed bill by asking one simple question of the bill's architect.

Do you ever just think, "Thank god (or whatever) that you weren't born a willfully ignorant a** hole." I do every time I read about legislation put forth by willfully ignorant a** holes.

Ooooo ooooo, I had a thought. The Dems should put forth a bill banning Willfully Ignorant a** holes from participating in politics!!! They don't even need to expose thier genitals to prove they are not Willfully Ignorant A** holes. All they have to do is be informed on issues that matter. It would be an easy thing to prove that they are NOT!! They just have to answer simple questions like "Are you Transgender"
