Maryland Pushes Back, Passes Trans Coverage For All Gender Procedures Through Medicaid
www.erininthemorning.com
With many states passing anti-trans bills, some states have pushed back and protected their trans citizens. Maryland is one of those states with the passage of the Trans Health Equity Act.
This is such great news. It’s so important the major health insurers update their standards of care for transgender individuals. Current commercial coverage is archaic and often doesn’t cover critical procedures (eg FFS), which are incredibly important. Kudos to Maryland for their actions!! Love it.
This is awesome! Thank you for keeping us up to date! Thank you thank you, Erin. Your work and service is invaluable. I am so glad I came across you when looking for help in the areas you cover. The attack on Transgender people is absolutely atrocious and sickening. Trans people deserve health care. We are human beings that deserve the respect, acknowledgement and the rights that most people take for granted. Keep up the good work! Absolutely inspiring!
Needed this today. ❤️ Been wrestling with https://www.timeanddate.com/. They don’t list either TDOR nor TDOV. The email thread is 💔 I wish I was better at what you do so well. The webmaster keeps coming back at me with another reason they aren’t listed. I finally just emailed the founder in Norway. Here’s hoping. Meanwhile I’m going to go cry now. My company was using them to list their DEIA calendar and so neither TDOR nor TDOV were listed. (I have a 3x5 trans flag in my office.) Please spread the word if you’re able. And thanks again for your hard work. Respect. Xx
States that are passing trans positive bills really help strengthen resolve.
There are caring people out there. There will always be.
Fantastic!
Gonna have me some Old Bay to celebrate. A much needed win after a difficult year.
HOORAY!!!!!!!!!

Way to go, Maryland! This is the way to do it!

I bet every No vote was republican. This is great news but we’re one election away from having a national ban.
