And good for LCPS . . .

. . . and for the children the gender critical want to victimize!

Please never fail to tell the SoCons to their face, how Social Conservatives and the gender critical are monstrous child abusers -- they want to force some boys to have and grow up with breasts and periods, and, to force some girls to have and grow up with beards and deep voices.

They are the monsters they claim they fight!

Your comment gets to the heart of it. I would add that it's no coincidence that these types, both GenCrits and reactionaries, protect and shield actual child abusers and sexual predators; their transphobia is a big part of that shield.

I’m glad the school district and the people of Loudoun have decided to stand up to the racist, homophonic, trump administration who have no morals who think that what they are trying to wipe away will work I HOPE MORE DISTRICTS AND PEOPLE HAVE THE BALLS TO STAND UP TO THIS ADMINISTRATION

At least 60 alumni, parents, and students gathered in support for trans kids during the "public" board meeting. I spoke with the VP of the School board. Would be happy to share the response i got with Erin in the Morning!

Loudoun stands as the role model for all schools. "Just Say No" should apply to any order coming out of Washington that requires Trans-bullying, or for that matter, anything that crosses the line into Fascism. The more Davids you get, the harder the Giant falls.

All five of the targeted school districts worked together to stand up to the federal government. Several local advocacy groups put together a coordinated campaign to gather public support for the nondiscrimination policies. Here’s the statement we sent to the school boards today to thank them for standing up to the federal department of education: http://bit.ly/45ys3gO

I hope we get some national recognition for the stand our schools district took to protect trans and nonbinary students!

The biggest and most important question now, since we know the administration will send the DOJ after the district with full (if incompetent) force and cruelty, is how stakeholders and allies will defend this decision and the board, and resist that blowback. The strategy is going to have to be both legal (ACLU and other defender legal orgs), communicative (steady and responsive media campaign) and *physical* (regular demonstrations and a public presence in support of the board, and trans lives, in the district). If enough people and resources go into making this a line in the sand, it will be. The administration does NOT have the will to fight a protracted battle that goes beyond initial pushes of spectacle and theatre--they will either escalate in an ugly way that hurts them, or they'll back off--*if* there is building work done now.

My understanding from reading and listening to former DOJ people, is that a lot of lawyers and prosecutors have already rage quit or are looking for the exit.

Pam Bondi recently complained about needing somewhere in the neighborhood of 90+ people to fill vacancies.

Even if the administration tries to take legal action against the county school boards, they don’t have the man power or the competent people necessary to even file something. And if they do, they’ll probably do it wrong and have it kicked from the courtroom.

Arlington County schools also say “no,” at least until the next SCOTUS ruling on the topic. Lawyer stuff at https://www.apsva.us/wp-content/uploads/sites/57/2025/08/2025.08.15-APS-Response-to-OCRs-LOF_Resolution-Agreement-FINAL-8.15.pdf

The Loudon County school board (two thirds of them, anyway) did the homework. It's that easy to just... 𝘯𝘰𝘵 comply in advance. Make the bastards work for every inch.
