The sad reality is that it isn't going to be just Republican congress people. The current atmosphere of bigotry now gives courage to all those self-styled vigilantes to police the ladies room at will. And, not to make this any worse than it already is, there are any number of Nancy Mace wanna-bes happy to attack us as well, because they know that we're vulnerable. Yeah, we can argue our rights in front of the space's manager, but the damage has already been done. We've been embarrassed and outed in a public place. Whenever possible, I think we need to make sure that we have an ally in the ladies room with us. I know that makes it inconvenient, but at least we will have a witness to what has gone on.

Democrats should never cede ground to Republicans on transgender issues—or on any other issue where basic rights, dignity, and fairness are at stake. For too long Republicans have used the transgender community as a political punching bag, hoping that fear, prejudice, and misinformation will win them elections.

The answer is to fight back, expose how ridiculous and intrusive these bathroom ads and the legislation behind them really are, and show voters what these politicians are actually doing. This ad is a start, and Democrats should be willing to meet these attacks head-on rather than backing down.

The absurdity of the Republican ads and the intrusive bathroom legislation must be responded to and ask why politicians believe they have a right to police people's bodies and private lives.

Great report on a smar move by democrats.

The only way this ad could have been better is if the creepy, old man was Donald Trump.
