True to form, the anti-trans craze proved once again that it comes for all women, eventually. Trone Garriott’s decision to align herself with hate did not save her.
We keep warning them, but they keep shooting themselves in the feet... voters on the left do not want to vote for bigots, even to stop worse bigots; voters in the so-called center don't care about anything but "Line Go Up." Voters on the right, meanwhile- when they bother to look at the candidates' platforms at all- aren't going to be satisfied by 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘵 hate when they've been gorging themselves on 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱-𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 hate with a side of bombing random brown people. Dems win nothing but an early retirement by playing these games, and the more of them try to become Republican Lite, the more likely it becomes that we just lose it all. I'd really rather not have to seek asylum in another country because one too many Democrats couldn't catch a clue with a bag of hand grenades and a trawling net.
Sands, Garriott, and Moulton—these three apparently competing for the prestigious “Who Can Make the Most Noise About Transgender People?” award. It must be exhausting finding new ways to pretend someone else’s existence is their biggest political problem.
Sands and Garriott seem convinced that Iowa’s bathrooms are on the brink of collapse unless they personally police who walks through the door. Forget the economy, healthcare, education, infrastructure, or anything else that actually affects people’s lives. Nope—apparently the bathroom is where civilization must make its final stand.
And Moulton? He apparently looked at this political circus and thought, “Move over, boys—I can pander too!” Nothing demonstrates political courage quite like throwing a vulnerable minority under the bus because you think it might win a few votes.
Here’s the hilarious part: Sands, Garriott, and Moulton seem to think attacking transgender people makes them look tough. It doesn’t. It makes them look like politicians who ran out of serious ideas and decided bigotry was easier.
Keep ranting, gentlemen. Keep manufacturing outrage. Keep treating transgender people like convenient political punching bags.
Because every time you do, you make one thing crystal clear: you have chosen your politics over basic decency—and voters have every right to remember that when they enter the voting booth.

The only man I’ve heard about in women’s dressing rooms was Donald Trump during the Miss America Pageant (https://www.snopes.com/news/2024/07/08/trump-beauty-pageants-dressing-room/). He owned the event and so he decided he owned the participants, too.
