2.) It is almost always done on babies for whom it is completely medically unnecessary. Even in cases of phimosis it is not necessary to completely remove it.
3.) There are a lot of medical benefits to keep the foreskin intact.
You can hear from many people that have had it done to them how upset they are that it was done without any chance to have their autonomy and body respected in the matter. If you want it done to yourself as an adult, that's fine. You can give informed consent and do that. It is NOT okay to do it to infants/children.
Anti-septic? If you meant anti-semitic, no, I'm not, but far as I know of scripture, I don't see why it can't be a ceremony for an adult man, a sign of dedication, as that's when Abraham and the men did theirs. Even if some want to argue it must be on infants, I don't think religion should be an exemption or excuse to practice inhumane and unethical treatments of people. Nor should they be above laws based in morals and ethics. In general, religion should not hold sway our laws because religion is not based in natural reason, it is based in supernatural faith and tradition.
The continual emphasis on the rarest of trans support actions -- they call it "mutilation" -- is an effective way to churn up castration anxiety among males and anxiety about breast health in women. Shameful.

Could also happen to the U.S. trans population and regardless of whether we are U.S. citizens or not. Immigrants are the canaries in the coal mine. If the government gets away with doing it to them, sooner or later they will be coming for the rest of us.
