Well, certainly the conservative right will never abandon their war on trans people regardless of the facts, science or nearly every legitimate medical group in the U.S. While it is nice that the majority of people don't support this hate and bias, the reality is that they view it as a "distraction" from issues that they view as more important but certainly not because they are particularly supportive of trans people and our right to control our own bodies and that the decisions should be between experienced health care professionals, the individual and their families.
I never trust poles very far and I think we rely on them far too much. I wish there was a statistic that could tell us of all the registered voters who took poles regarding the election how many of them actually show up to vote.
Funny factoid: the only new gun control enacted in the US this century was Trump's executive order directing the ATF to ban bump stocks after the Las Vegas massacre. Tell a MAGAt that the next time they say Trump will protect their guns; watch them have a mental BSOD trying to resolve the cognitive dissonance.
Oh I've already done that. They go directly to claiming it does not matter, because "bump stocks reduce accuracy and are only good for mag dumping fun at the range." That they are invalidating the idea the 2nd amendment is an actual constitutional provision eliminating a category of laws never phases them. The power of cognitive non-dissonance -- denial -- is an awesome thing to witness.
Where were you able to find the breakdown of voters on transgender issues? E.g. men on transgender issues and swing state voters on transgender issues? I looked in the crosstabs but only found the general Harris +16 shown
I could care less about Faux polls. Their polls are doctored and fabricated as far as I'm concerned. The lead is much larger in other polls, which is why I pay about 0 attention to all of them. The voters will decide in November.
They're running bullshit ads on TV down here in GA, taking something VP Harris said about trans people out of context. You can tell by how they cut off what she said, short of what she was really talking about. Attached some bullshit to it and ... just UGH! Why won't she sue Donald Duck for slander?
I just turned 67 last week, and of course we dominate voting information. We're some voting rams who have taken voting seriously since we were kids. I've been voting almost 50 years now, and never miss a beat to make my voice heard. Hell, I do that without the vote (hahahaha).
Yeah, Cheetolini started all this bullshit against trans people by taking away military trans rights. It was one of the 1st things he did as president. His crap is still going on when we need it the most ... surgeries for trans vets. Pres. Biden signed the executive order and then took his eye off the Secretary of the VA who has been sitting on the go-ahead lying on his desk. Won't tell us why, either, but those of us who aren't idiots KNOW why. Someone got to him and he's waiting to see if he gets to throw it in the trash if 45 wins. Active duty are able to transition in all ways again to get them battle-ready. His mandatory service is still for people born with a penis. That's wrong & backwards.
I can't wait until this election is over! I also can't wait to call the first Black female President 'Madam President'. This year has taken an incredible toll on my mental & physical health; that's for sure. The GOP is poising to suppress the votes all over the country. Perhaps you should read one my posts about this:
Just in GA alone, they have increased this crew called Vigilante, Inc. from 80 members to over 40,000. That's right. They can challenge anybody voting in GA. These vigilantes are none other than the KKK dressed up in a fancier word. They've moved their racism to digital w/AI. The powers-to-be aren't telling people they're doing this to them until a couple days before the election. We're in big trouble down here.
