I'm glad people are finally standing up to pedophiles and professional wrestlers who think they know best.

Now let's make sure Spanberger gets to where she can best help them, the governor's office.

I really hope the news that the administration is willing to take food off children's plates in pursuit of the only gender ideology at work in this space spreads far and wide fast.

Thanks for this good news! I just sent emails to all four districts, thanking them for standing up for students.

Thanks for the good news, Erin!

And of course the ideologues have turned up their cruelty in response to the school districts' courage and support of their students.

"In response, the Department of Education has begun the process to revoke funding for programs supporting students with disabilities, low-income families, and free and reduced-price lunches—heightening the stakes in what has become a nationwide battle over civil rights in education."

Oh 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 yes.

Are you paying attention, Ivy League? Class is in session; you might learn a thing or two about standing up to tyrants.

Public schools are an excellent place to start a wholesale movement to support trans kids. Although the schools will be possibly losing federal funds as punishment from Trump's jackboot feds, most of schools' funding comes from local and state governments. Here in Minnesota we passed a law mandating free lunches for all students, which we fund ourselves here.

If schools don't stand up for all of their students, for all of our children, who will? Please, school districts around our country, take heart from Virginia and do what is right for our children!

I'm so happy to see Virginia standing up for ALL of their students!

I recently took Disability requirement from Federal service in large part because of how they were treating trans folks (in violation of what's explicitly listed in non-discrimination policies.) And I'm very happy, even if I don't have any children in the schools, that Fairfax County is protecting the rights explicitly listed in Virginia law.

I’m so proud of you if these school districts

They have more balls then the colleges, universities, news organizations, and businesses that have no guts to stand up to trump bullshit. If everyone stood up to Trump instead of bending the knee this WOULD STOP

I love that these school districts are upholding the Grimm decision that came from a transgender student in Virgina public school!

Thank you, Erin, for this terrific reporting. Let's hope other school districts around the country display as much courage and good sense at these ones in Virginia.

This is outstanding news. It is about time that someone stands up to and calls out the insanity happening in the White House. Trans kids are just that, kids who are want to live their authentic self. They deserve to be seen and heard just like all kids do.
