Of course they are going to keep it quiet - they found out it was one of their own.

Let’s just say the unspoken part out loud.

These mass shootings are committed by one demographic: white men.

Instead of the hate-filled suggestion to deny the trans community guns, let’s deny white men guns.

If we do, these mass murders will stop for good at that very moment.

This is far from a surprise. When it’s a trump supporter or a republican you will NEVER hear a word from trump or his supporters they seem to loose their voices.

They are a bunch of lowlife clowns who MUST BE VOTED OUT AND WE MUST CONTINUE TO RAISE OUR VOICES AND LET THEM KNOW WE WILL NOT BE QUIET

Thank you so much for reporting the real facts we’re adrift in a sea of propaganda. As a transgendered woman it’s making me sick to see where we are and seemingly headed in this country . Keep up the excellent work you are doing !

Top level writing, Erin. Outrage and heartbreak both searingly and beautifully expressed. Thank you.

As Megyn Kelly claimed, to justify the erasure of the report showing that the right commits more acts of violence than the left, when you remove the “crazies” from the list of violent perps on the right, they don’t commit as many acts of violence as the violent perps on the left. So many contradictions. Including but not limited to labeling people “far left lunatics,” but also they’re not “crazies” that can be dismissed as outliers. Rather, they are representative of a demographic that is inherently dangerous and should not be permitted to have firearms. The contortions of logic are literally mind boggling.

MAGA is an anti-government terrorist organization, and MAGAism is definitely a mental illness. Those espousing MAGA Ideology should probably be rounded up and imprisoned for the safety of society. And their stupid red hats should be banned.

It's actually horrible that my first reaction (as a European) every time is "oh, another shooting in the US." The US has so many shootings that it's not even a huge news item over here anymore.

Terrific editorial, Erin.

FoixNews online has quickly shifted its reports on the shooting from it's top headline to a far less prominent position and used language focused on the victims rather than the alleged gunman.

and there's almost nothing about the yacht club shooter, also a CIS white male veteran of Iraq.

PROPAGANDA is not about truth, it's about pushing a narrative -- namely, "OTHERS are scary and dangerous and must be eliminated."

This is why, FOR NO JUSTIFIABLE REASON, we here in Portland are being subjected to hours of nightly surveillance (ie - intimidation) via multiple Black Hawk helicopters swarming our skies to monitor our nonexistent 'chaos' and 'violence.'

Shared. Thank you for calling out the hypocrisy. It's obvious and irritating, but it still feels important to do so. Like sharing posts of quiet Portland. We need to keep pushing this into the stratosphere as maybe, maybe more Americans start to pay attention as they see things are not going quite as they imagined they would.
