This is one of too many reasons even though I'll vote for individual Democrats, I can't bring myself to endorse the party overall. What a disappointment and a stupid stupid "strategy".

Here is a link to the DCCC's contact form, so people can let them know what they think of this betrayal. There's also a phone number on the contact form if you prefer to verbally voice your disgust.

I went on the site and said my piece but when I hit submit it said the security check failed, please try again. Sounds like republicans.

Ann Journey's avatar

I see what you mean. I got the same message when I tried to submit my own comment just now! I will try again later and see if it persists.

This happened to me as well!

same thing happened to me. Shocker.

To call — (202) 863-1500- if you listen to all the options you can there’s an option to leave a comment at the end

Wild Contemplative's avatar

I’d give them a call. The contact number is on that website.I also called my representative, Crow, who works with the DCCC to let him know how disappointed I was with their decision

Same, sooo frustrating

Heartbreaking. The Democrats cannot be allowed to become Labour 2.0.

And the establishment dems wonder why their donations are low. I'm looking at you, too, James Carville.

Wild Contemplative's avatar

The fact that over the weekend, Carville said he’d rather the Republicans win than DSA having too much power in the party. It’s just infuriating.

Yeah, f*** his Straight White ass.

How ironic that this comes immediately on the heels of the announcement that anti-tarns ads were actually having a reverse effect. I've said it before (and please forgive me for being repetitive). There is very little difference between the two major parties. Neither major party seems to have retained a moral compass. Now, it's say anything you need to in order to win. Principles be damned.

The more a hear or read about these types of ads the more pissed off i get

Have Democrats in South Carolina learned NOTHING?

Running ads attacking transgender individuals in girls’ sports is not what we expect from Democrats. These ads promote fear and misinformation instead of facts, and Democrats should know better than to copy the Republican playbook.

There is no scientific basis for the sweeping claims these ads make. The physical characteristics relevant to athletic performance vary from person to person, and medical evidence does not support treating every transgender athlete as having an automatic, universal physical advantage. Athletic performance is complex, and individual circumstances matter.

Democrats should be challenging misinformation, not amplifying it for political gain. You cannot claim to defend equality while helping stigmatize a vulnerable community.

The transgender community is not a political punching bag. Democrats should be standing up for dignity, fairness, and evidence—not abandoning their principles in the hope of winning votes.

Wake up, Democrats! Stand by your principles. Defend transgender people instead of throwing them under the bus. Voters are watching, and come November, they will remember who stood up for equality and who caved to prejudice.

This reminds me of the last month of Harris's presidential campaign where she would share a stage with dick fucking cheney trying to garner rethug votes. The dccc is rethug lite and needs to be burned to the ground.

Jackie Batterson's avatar

Believe me when I say say that the DCCC never ask me for money again.

So effing depressing. Adam Hamilton, my UMC colleague in the Kansas Senate race, threw our folks under the bus yesterday too. It's so needless. These folks could just say "I'm not going to discuss this because it's a distraction and an expression of ignorance at the very least. The real issues are affordability, war, immigration, climate etc. etc. etc. and NOT the infinitesimally small number of trans folks that YOU THINK are a threat to your life." But no. It's cowardice and pandering to the bigots, 24/7/365.

Very disappointed in Vice Admiral Nancy Lacore (former Chief of the Navy Reserve; fired by Pete Hegseth last year). I thought she was better than this. I know it’s hard for a Democrat to win in red South Carolina, especially when running for Nancy Mace’s old seat, but I thought Lacore had a fighting chance. She blew it, just like Dr. Annie Andrews. 😖

Unless it's to save the country, I will no longer hold my nose and vote for a mainstream Democrat in national elections. I'm too far to the left to stomach their centrist, pro-corporate, pro-genocide (i.e. Biden et. al.), anti-worker, etc., etc. stances that throw everyone except those with $$$$$$$$$ under the bus. I pray that Gen Z will end the dismal political duopoly and create a real people's party - like the NDP in Canada.

Democrat party operatives in central arkansas are telling trans people that it’s just a couple of rogue actors, that This isn’t party wide. The denial is so destructive 🙄

Beret Strong's avatar

Appalling -- and verging on ironic, given that voters are more than tired of cruel anti-trans campaign tactics. This poorly made ad (I'm a filmmaker - I could have done better with my eyes closed) will fail for more than one reason. The DCCC will never get a penny out of me. Thanks for calling this out.

So disappointing😢😢 Why can’t these candidates just stick to the important issues? Why attack a vulnerable community to get elected?

Great way to have all of us stay home. Dems are not our friends. The party itself is rotten
