Elle, leopards and other medium/big cats are suffering from horrific health issues at this time. They've been gorging themselves since November of '24 on a non-stop buffet of rich and fatty GOPMAGA facemeat and they've absolutely lost all metabolic regulation, fitness, and even the desire to breed or hunt. They just lay about all day waiting for the facemeat troughs to be refilled and the face-feasting-all-you- can-eat-tourney to reset.
Poor things can't even run anymore and don't even bother to use the furniture for claw-sharpening and muscle-stretching exercises.
Sad.
If only someone could have predicted how much facemeat was going to be available after the electoral success of the "Leopards Eating People's Faces" party.
This was something that struck me, too. I grew up mostly in deep rural South Dakota in the 80s/90s. I had no idea transgender people even existed. I wasn’t even really exposed to the concept until I went away to college. I was immediately transfixed by it, that it was even an option for someone to do that. I wonder if this kind of ads would have started the wheels turning sooner…
THE ANTI-TRANSGENDER ADS ARE BACKFIRING — AND THE PEOPLE RUNNING THEM STILL DON’T GET IT!
The anti-transgender ads flooding this election cycle are proving to be a serious miscalculation. Instead of achieving the results their sponsors want, they are bringing transgender people into the public conversation in ways these politicians never anticipated. Even the children of conservative families are seeing these ads, realizing that transgender people exist, and beginning to ask questions.
And here’s what these politicians and their supporters fail to understand: YOU CANNOT KEEP YOUR CHILDREN IN A COCOON FOREVER, NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY!
The world is full of different people, and children deserve to learn that reality. They need to understand that transgender people exist, that LGBTQ+ people deserve dignity and respect, that Black and Brown people are their fellow human beings, and that bigotry and racism are learned prejudices—not values we should be teaching the next generation.
Hiding people from children does not make those people disappear. Demonizing an entire community does not make children safer. And spending millions of dollars on hateful political advertising does not make discrimination right.
THE TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY IS NOT YOUR POLITICAL PUNCHING BAG! These are real people, real families, and real children who deserve the same respect, freedom, and opportunity as everyone else.
The more these politicians try to turn transgender people into villains, the more they risk exposing the cruelty and prejudice behind their own campaigns. Americans are tired of manufactured outrage. They want affordable groceries, lower healthcare costs, decent housing, and leaders who actually solve problems.
LET THE HATEFUL ADS RUN. LET THE QUESTIONS BE ASKED. LET THE TRUTH BE SEEN. AND WHEN ELECTION DAY COMES, MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD AT THE BALLOT BOX!
Gee, I'd feel awful if Republicans one day realized they erased, eradicated, and exterminated us even though they didn't "really" WANT to. That would be a terrible burden for them to have to carry! Can you just IMAGINE? I of course won't be around to offer my services as an LGBTQ cultural competency and DEI educator and consultant to help them work through the consequences of their choices and actions because they will have eliminated me and mine, so I guess all I can offer them in this perlious & querulous moment is thoughts and prayers, my most sincerest thoughts and prayers.
Hope those work at least as well for them as they do for all the dead kids after preschool mass shootings!
I remember my own kid asking me about what gay meant after hearing kids talking about it on the playground when California had Prop 8, the anti gay marriage proposition on the ballot in 2008. It was a great teaching moment 😊. The Streisand effect I suppose.
The boomers have lost and Gen Z will rise. (note: I'm in what they call 'generation Jones, late '57 to '64, [from the phrase 'keeping up with the Joneses']
I have total faith in the Gen Z. They are reshaping the world and I love it!
If only they would bother to examine their own motives and follow their emotionally driven ideas through to their logical conclusion. But that would involve a level of self awareness, perscipacity, and internal dialogue that I'm afraid the GOPMAGA yeomanry just can't muster. If they had their act together THAT much, they likely wouldn't BE GOPMAGAs in the first place.
These conservatives parents can cry me a river…a long, vast and deep river.
