I just turned 50 yesterday, and while I have always known I was transgender since at least 1979, have just started with social and medical transition in the last few years. I am resolved to help represent our community by being my true and authentic self in my daily life privately and publicly. Existence is resistance.
Oh Oh Oh! Bring it! Bring the TRUTH about being a human being in all its beautiful diversity! Let us all live in our uninhabited human potential! Thanks to you all who show up and testify! Love to you all!
So encouraging to read about and see some cis-identified politicians use their privilege and power to speak out in support of our community. We need more to follow their lead. ❤️🔥🏳️⚧️❤️🔥
When I read "“We won’t let them steal the future from our kids,” “We are all standing together against the fascist lie that our bodies are not our own" I realized no one has an excuse for being silent. As a 75 year old life long Democrat I have been extremely disappointed and angry with the most Democrats. I know that the party is our road to equality for all.
As always I thank you Erin for covering difficult topics with honesty, dignity, and respect. As the mother of an adult male to female Trans women I can say with Absolute certainty that I am sick of the racist, fascist crap thrown at Trans People. As a mother I can tell you that I will proudly fight alongside my daughter for her Right to be Who She Is!
Another excellent article from the EITM team, we do have to fight back. Trans people are definitely not to blame for the re-election of this "leader". The reality is dark on the ground, even in supposedly safe states the community is hurting. That being said, the trans/non-binary folks that I know are strong and we are committed to not backing down or having our lives stolen from us.
That is true for the entire LGBTQIA+ community, the BIPOC community, Immigrants, and everyone else affected by this disaster of a regime.
I literally cried. THANK you, true Democrats, those who are left. And especially, thank you, future President Frost, who speaks with the passion and clarity of 2004 Obama.
I think what we've got is a garden full of weeds. We have to weed it. I have stopped being an unquestioning Democrat. I now support anyone who supports me. Of course the only people who do so are Democrats, so I support those Democrats who support us. I don't support the others, but I will support anyone friendly to our community who primaries them.
Yes...we must not forget the weapons some Democrats used to impact the challenges faced daily. I know have a rather clip and paste email I send to those disgusting legislators.
Erin, thanks as always for your great reporting. But please tell us more about the rally, such as how many people attended the rally and whether there counter protesters. Thank you.
We led the way at Stonewall and goddamnit we will lead the way in this fight! We will show them all how to punch Nazis!!!
It's totally okay to punch Nazis.
My grandparents, who were WW2 vets approve of this message.

Yessss. Fight back!!!! It’s time to go on the offensive. Be tough and have a stiff upper lip!

Ed Markey is low key one of the best Senators

That's exactly how I look at it! I wish more people did.
In times of crisis, it's only the people who keep cool heads and make calculated, pragmatic decisions who come out whole. ;-)

Vive la résistance!
"...to distract from issues such as access healthcare, the dismantling of public education, and healthcare access."
Is that supposed to say something else? Because it's awfully clunky...

I plan to contact all news media in my area asking why this event was not covered.

The courage of the trans community inspires me.
